Answer:	The mat is sticky with or without sweat. It will not move. It holds on to the floor and the yoga towel very well. I personally love this mat because it's cushy.

Answer:	I've not used the kurma mat before, but i can say for the gaiam sol dry grip that a few months into using it some of the grip is gone and i've cleaned it with just a damp cloth

Answer:	I've been using a homemade mixture of 3 parts water, 1 part witch hazel with alcohol, half a teaspoon of tea tree oil and 20 drops of peppermint oil on my Sol mat for over a year, and finally realized that my mat cleaner is taking the finish off my mat. It took several months for this to be apparent. Maybe it's the alcohol in the witch hazel, or maybe the tea tree oil, but I'm ready to buy a new mat now because it has lost its non-slip characteristic. I'm going to buy another of these mats and use the homemade alternative cleaner they recommend: "cold water and a mild detergent".
Question:	Does this mat really work well for a whole sweaty bikram class with out a towel? Really want an all in one option for Bikram that works
Answer:	Yes it does. The only issue I found was when I went to class right after putting lotion on....made the mat slippery once I started sweating. I use just a vinegar and water solution to clean it and it stays tacky enough to keep me from slipping and the sweat wicks away.

Not gonna lie I’ve had it for less than a year and the rubber is lifting wear I place my hands usually. Not too inconvenient but I wasn’t expecting this u til at least a year. I practice heated power yoga on it at least 3 times a week. Other than that is has been pretty sturdy and relatively non slip

Answer:	No it’s not like the combo mat. It is very absorbent and the grip is good, but I switched back to my combo mat for heated classes - only use this mat for non heated vinyasa now.

Answer:	Depends on how often you go to yoga and how much you sweat. I wash mine every 2 weeks and I use a handheld carpet shampooer.
Question:	How many times do I need to wash it for the smell to go away
Answer:	It's not ribbed, the striping is part of the design. I used to use the mat but I found that over time the mat, which is basically just a piece of carpet would smell and even after I put it through the washing machine. Instead I started using the Tranquility Hot Yoga Mat, it focuses on using rubber for extra grip when wet and is machine washable. It's also made predominantly from rubber so it doesn't soak up smells. Google it and you'll find it, you can't buy them on Amazon.

Answer:	New yoga mats may have a bit of smell at first, but it is completely harmless! The smell will fade with time and use, however, cleaning the mat can quickly speed up this process. We recommend washing the mat with a yoga mat wash or a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water. Then let the mat air dry. It should take no longer than 2-3 days maximum.
