Answer:	No, they are not tight on the calf. They fit very comfortably in that area with no compression. In my opinion, the only area with compression (and minimal at that) is in the waist (which is where I want it the most anyway.)

Answer:	I have the black ones, and when bending over, you can start to see the separation between the color of your skin and the underwear. It's not see-through, but you start to see a tinge of the color of your skin. They're worth the investment especially at this price. But, if you're planning on doing squats or other movements of the like, it may be better to find another pair. Wearing them casually and bending over for non-athletic purposes should be okay.
