Answer:	I've only used the regular version so I can't really make a judgement on the leather ones. That being the case I would think that the leather blocks might be slippery on some surfaces. I do really like the regular blocks. They do the job.

Answer:	These are fairly dense, but not as dense as a usual yoga block. They have some give. I would have wrist pain before using these blocks if doing a lot of poses that use the wrists primarily for support. With these blocks, I don't have any wrist pain. I would recommend these blocks.
