Answer:	I used to use mine fully inverted and didn't get any real relief. My Dr just prescribed daily to start and then weekly for L5 damage but said NEVER go past 45 degrees. My PT also told me in 2008 that decompression when upright did not work because your brain wouldn't let your muscles relax. So maybe check with a spine specialist even if you have a healthy spine.

For comparison I am 6' male and somewhat trim build at 180# with size 11 shoes.

Answer:	I would say yes, at least very close to 100% inverted position. I was concerned about this as well, but was not disappointed. Very sturdy machine, as well.
