Answer: This may take a bit, but what you'll have to do is disassemble the base. Turn the dumbbells over so that the bottom is facing up. At this time you will see the four screws at the bottom, you should unscrew all 4 screws and lift the bottom part off. You should see a light gray interior piece that looks like 3 connected squares. Lift this out as well. Beneath that are screws for the locking mechanisms. Unscrew those and you should be able to lift the weight off the plate and identify where it's getting stuck. Once the locking mechanism is removed from the weight, you can re-assemble the base.
