Answer:	The material is thick like an ordinary sweatpants material, very soft and comfortable. The ankles have elastic with no zippers. They don't need to be a specific length that way, so they fit different leg lengths. (I usually need 30" length, which is shorter than most and sometimes hard to find).

Answer:	I just measured the inseam after several washings and it's 32". My husband is 6'1" and they fit like new. You are correct... High water sweats look ridiculous. He's very pleased with comfort and fit however, I'd say to be safe, wash in warm not hot water and medium rather than a hot dryer. I recommend these sweats.
