You can do this for all types of activities, not just running or walking. It even has a treadmill, or cycling setting. I love this watch, i think you will too. Its VERY easy to learn, most activities are done with 1 or 2 touches!

I have an eTrex 30 and it is the best GPS I've ever owned. I have the mini United States, Canada, Mexico, and Caribbean maps card installed. It shows even the private driveways out in the country side. The vehicle mounts that work on the 20 & 30 won't work on the 10. The type that slides on the back of the unit.

Answer:	I have only used it in minor rolling forested areas. Based on the initial locating time, it appears that the unit does not have the sensitivity of expensive GPS units such as Garmin handhelds. However for the price it is a wonderful tool and works as advertised.

Question:	Does it beep or is it silent?? Besides of the sos button
Answer:	The SPOT does not come with any service., and the price to activate it is no longer $150/yr, but has gone up to $200 for the first year, and $225 after that. They don't mention that extra $25 on the web site, but send an email telling you their adding it as a service charge, before your renewal is due. That said, I'm still keeping my subscription, and once you've paid for that, the rescue and towing service options are a great buy.
Question:	How frequently does it update its location
Answer:	basic tracking aligns with whatever activation period you purchase. note: you cannot use spot without paying for activation. if you purchase activation for one year then it's one year. however, because spot auto-renews your subscription, it's really in perpetuity unless you notify spot that you want to cancel 30 days before the term ends. this is very important and a major source of contention with many spot users, and frankly a bit sneaky on the part of spot. this means that if you contact spot 15 days before the end of your term, they would have already auto-renewed your subscription for the next year.

Answer:	Not sure with 10 minute updates, but I have run my SPOT 3 for 11 days straight with a 30 minute update interval on one set of batteries. So far I haven't noticed the need to change the batteries. Hope this helps.

Answer:	This watch measures your movement using GPS, so once it connects to GPS (you need to be outside) it will record and display how fast you are moving and how far you have gone, and your average pace and average pace for the previous mile, and it will record your coordinates. I've been using the watch for two weeks to track walking and jogging in a city. I've found it most helpful to look at the data output in Runkeeper after syncing the watch on my laptop (it's quick/automatic to pass the activities to Runkeeper) because it gives the same detailed output that app normally generates (map view, speed and elevation charts, average pace, average pace for each mile).

Question:	How do you change the clock on this. Mine did not autkmatically update
Answer:	The time on your fitness tracker will keep the same with the time on your phone, so you can change the time on your phone ,then update the data of the app. If this doesn't work, you can try to reconnect the watch and the phone.
Question:	can this be used without linking to app? (Im only interested in time/ heart rate and bp) Its for my Dad who is in his 70's
Answer:	Dear, Thank you very much for your question. Our bracelet needs to be bound to the app on the phone to get more accurate and detailed information. If you don't bind the phone, you can view the data, but not detailed, our bracelet has time, heart rate function, There is no bp function, I hope you can understand.
Question:	How long is the range if you don't have your phone on you
Answer:	Dear Customer, Thank you for asking. The fitness tracker and you phone are connected by bluetooth. The connection will be stable if the distance between the fitness tracker and your phone is less than 10 meters.
Question:	Does this require a separate cable charger? Can you order it with one color and have a different color "free band
Answer:	It doesn't need the separate cable charger. Just remove the host off the strap and plug it directly to the usb port. About the free band, we put the black color fitness tracker and blue color free band together. The combination is like below. Black+ blue (free band) Blue+ black (free band) Red+ black (free band) Green+ black (free band) Purple + black (free band) I hope this can help you fix your issue. Question:	Will my charge 3 bands fit the charge 4? Would i need to purchase new bands, again
Answer:	The watch has a Exercise section that has running, weight lifting Biking, treadmill, Elliptical. workout. You can tap on the one you want without having the phone with you. I don't even own a phone. I use a table but I just did a walk outside and it detected my 10,000+ steps and recorded the miles. It may be more accurate with the phone. I used windows Tablet and/or Windows10 with GPS and they both sync with when I got back and it said the same amount of steps as on my watch. I think it is pretty close anyway. You can see everything on the watch. That is why I like it a lot. I didn't think I would be able to see anything except heart rate and steps.
Question:	Will this watch offer heart rate variability tracking or collect data that can be extracted by an app for hrv tracking
Answer:	There is a music control option (either swipe down from the top of the main screen, or use the top right button on the edge of the watch casing). I have not used it yet. You get notifications such as texts & calendar alert and phone calls by a buzz on the watch. Texts are displayed as soon as I get them on my phone. Simple swipe from the bottom of the screen up lets you review them. You can then simply swipe right to dismiss them or scroll down through all of them to a "clear all" option.
Question:	Will a regular charge 4 band fit on the charge 4 special edition? Looks like it has special connections
Answer:	"My Blaze is 2 DAYS AT THE MOST" This is my 4th Fitbit watch over the past 4 years and this Blaze is the worst ever on the battery life. Because of this, this will be my last Fitbit. I will be checking out the Apple Watch when this one drops dead from exhaustion. I am 73 and this Fitbit can't keep up with a grumpy-ole-man! I have found that everyday when I shower, I put the Blaze in the charger and that seems to keep the thing from dropping dead on me when least expected!
Question:	Does GPS require paying a monthly fee to anyone or is it free
Answer:	I have a 38mm apple watch and the blaze. The screen of the apple watch is the same size as the blaze if you turned the apple watch display sideways. The case of the blaze (it fits into the band) is a bigger overall footprint than the Apple Watch. That said, the Blaze is much more flush with your arm and doesn't stick out and feel bulky like the Apple Watch. Bigger footprint, but lighter and less noticeable when wearing if that helps.
