Answer:	The rope attachment for both the Sportein and the Crossrope spin inside the handle. But the Crossrope rope attachment mechanism spins in 2 more axes or rotation. The Sportein Attachment mechanism does not add any additional rotation. Thus the Crossrope rope can move in all 3 axes without bending, while the Sportein rope does not. It is an inferior connection, hence a lower price. Mine broke in 2 weeks.

There's an adjustable plastic pieces clip on to the rope to fix its length. We suggest you cut any excess rope, leaving around 1'' of rope after the plastic piece. If you follow this suggestion, you are guaranteed a smooth swing. Some of our customers, however, are leaving more than just 1" inside the handles so that family members of different heights can also use the rope since it's so easy to adjust. If by leaving more than 1'' you feel that the swing is still smooth then you can go ahead and do it. But what can happen is that the excess rope in the handle tangles or causes friction and thereby prevents the rope from turning smoothly with the ball bearings.
