Answer:	The ice pack sits on supports in the middle of the box and the small boxes sit on the ice pack. However, if you lose the ice pack like a pleb (I did...) the small boxes will squish whats in the bottom. One option then is to make a support, the same size as the ice pack, out of cardboard and wrap it in plastic wrap. One other thing to consider is the ice pack will not keep your ice cream frozen or your yogurt cold, it will keep the top of your bottom food and the bottom of your top food cold. This is however enough to keep your veggies crisp and keep your sushi a little chilled so it doesn't stick to your fingers. All and all I like this box and would recommend the purchase.
