4. How long does this motor run for? - This entirely depends on the battery capacity or Amperage Hour Rating (Ah) on the battery you are using. We recommend a 50Ah battery at minimum. This will power the motor for roughly 1.5hr at speed 5 continuously and 5.5hrs at speed 3.

To determine the correct shaft length, measure the distance from the mounting spot down to the waterline and add 15". Question:	Can the shaft be removed easy to put it through the Hobie cassette plug as a mount
Answer:	Not sure of the exact application you’re asking about. Perhaps this could help though. Removing the head is pretty easy, the speed control is all plug in wires and the ground has a screw. The speed control is even marked where the different color wires go. My personal application is a transom mount with the controls extended to be reached at my seating position (steering in now foot pedals). Side note: high speed on a Bonified SS127 was GPS at 4.3MPH. I kinda wish I had gotten the 55lb thrust, however battery life is really good on this one. Hope this helps.

Question:	Can i use a stronger battery without problems? ie; 12v (bci group 24m, 31m), 105ah, cranking amps 800 = longer fishing
Answer:	I had two pull three of the center tubes. You will also need to modify the tray beneath the tubes. I had to cut out some foam and bend the edges of the aluminum rod tray in order to make the pedal tray fit between the rod tray sidewalls. There are some great videos of this on You tube.
Question:	I have one of these i bought a year ago here. How can i bypass the forward/reverse and speed control in tiller and mount an external hand controller
Answer:	Herbert, also consider that I use this motor on a 12' kayak. My average current use is 12Amps/hr - that is at a "3" setting on the handle. If I had a heavier boat, I would increase the power used by using the "5" setting (to maintain the equivalent speed). That would use about 20 amps/hr. So you can see that would almost double the power use that I would use, bring the HP rating to double the .193 HP/hr = .386HP/hr. But the battery life would be cut in half. If you had a double the size battery of 150Amp/hr battery - which is pretty large, you would end up with 2.316 HP/6 hours. I believe that would be the maximum case. One answer mentions thrust. I calculate a thrust of 75.5 newton meters = 55.68 ft/lbs. Some rounding errors there. That pretty well matches the 55 pound thrust specification. If anyone gives you any problem - tell them that electric motors are not rated in horsepower, but the motor does have a thrust rating of 75.5 newton-meters. Ask them if they could convert that to a equivalent HP rating? As they stare at you like you have 3 eyeballs, tell them that : "I have already made the conversion and it equals to .386HP at maximum thrust." Watch the person say : " Uhhhh-yea - that's about right ....good....uh ...do you have your life jacket?......yea?..great ..uh..gotta go......have a nice day!"Watch person jump into truck - peeling away wondering what in the heck a newton-meter is.

Question:	pounds thrust is way more than I need for a 16 foot canoe. Will it hurt the efficiency when used at very slow thrust
Answer:	I have a 12' Valco Aluminum boat and it pushes it around pretty good in the 5th forward speed. Prob got up to 5 or 6 mph. I never did it for very long though so not sure how long the battery would last doing that all day. Goes pretty slow until you kick it into the 5th gear and then you feel a nice push. Also have not tried it into any kind of head wind or current.

Answer:	Yes, if you're Bobcat skid steer is 1995 or newer, they will fit perfectly!
Question:	How does this attach with a Hobie pedal kayak
Answer:	I'm not sure about that specific loader, but I imagine it's standard sizing...pretty much all these attachments are interchangeable. I got my forks for a Bobcat S185 Skidsteer and they fit fine, as does a Kwik-way plow blade. So, different types of equipment by different manufacturers and they all fit.
Question:	Where can I find a replacement propellor all the mini prop kits seem to be sold out
Answer:	If you Bobcat skid steer is 1995 or newer, it will fit like a glove!
