Question:	would this be too big for a 4 year old boy
Answer:	Yes, the surface of these orthotics is very smooth. The only issue we had was fitting them into one pair of shoes, The orthotics curved up the side slightly causing slight pressure when a step was taken. I did modify them slightly. However, this was only in one set of shoes and these shoes may already have been worn down so the fit wasn't as good. With all the other shoes the insoles relieved all pressure and were very comfortable (The wearer also has neuropathy and severe foot/ ankle deformity). They are very close to many custom made orthotics but at a fraction of the cost.
Question:	Small enough for a 5 year old
Answer:	I have not tried it. But, I would say that you could use the insoles that came with the shoe to "size" these inserts by matching them up and drawing a line on your new insert, at the toe end. Then, carefully trim your new insert to size with a good pair of scissors.
Question:	is it coast guard approved
Answer:	Not at all. They are actually fairly heavy. Good quality fabric
Question:	So it won't be too small for kids between 10-15 age range? Afraid the adult ones will be way too big
Answer:	Not sure. I'm 5 ft 4. Ordered a small and they fit perfect. Best capri's I ever wore. The pockets are amazing and they wash nicely. I hang dry.
