Answer:	I would not go so far as call it fade proof but I would say it is fade resistant. If left in the sun too long they will need replaced.
Question:	How would these lines hold up in rough water... we are on an open back that kicks up often and had already snapped a l1/2 inch old line
Answer:	3/8 nylon braided rope general specification breaking strength is 3400lbs and nylon braided rappelling rope is 4900lbs. These appear to be really good quality and may have a rating higher than the lower amount but they are manufactured in China which typically nothing there exceeds minimum specification or even meets any specifications. These are definitely strong ropes for a 18 to 25 ft 2000 to 2500 lb boat. Of course adding more ropes increases the strength. I tie my 2000lb boat to the shore with 1ft waves using one rope as the boat repeatingly is being jerked out and back up and down without straining the rope.

How to properly tie dock lines?

Answer:

This is hi grade mooring rope but it Doesn’t float!! I use one on my buoy to tie my boat out in the water. It sinks but you can always find the end tied to the buoy.. When tied to the dock you can always find on end also.. I have even left the rope tied to the buoy over two winters and it is still as strong as new even during heavy waves and thunderstorms.. Keep in mind this was in fresh water on a very big lake.. Many someone else can tell you there experiences with salt water.. Keep boating and stay safe..
