Answer:	these are made of plastic and one broke the first time I covered the boat. Had to order the metal ones that worked great. 3 poles on a 21.7 for pontoon boat works great

Answer:	I think 1/2 but it's not PVC it's cheap thin plastic that will break ...do not buy this item

Answer:	It's for a boat cover.. To support the low spots that have no way of supporting the cover.. ?? It can't support an 18' console... its made of cheap plastic. ..Mine didn't last 6 month..
