Answer:	I have a cabinet shelf full of insulated stainless water bottles including hydro flask and a couple other premium name brands. This is better than my hydro flask for a few reasons. 1 =better lid. 2 =A better exterior texture as this model has a light texture which adds grip instead of smooth like the hydro. 3= the base has a shallow protective ring attached to the bottom so a drop on its bottom doesn't dent the actual insulated container. Its blended so you may not visually be able to tell its a separate piece. 4 = the base has a rubber non slip pad built into the bottom this prevents slips, sound, and condensation at the base contact point. 5 = much cheaper. For anyone interested this is the same bottle as the Avex, likely made by Avex and simply rebranded for Coleman

Answer:	Seems like more of a powder coat. It’s textured and grippy. It definitely doesn’t feel cheap. I’ve had mine for over a month and use it every day at home and at work and there isn’t a single scratch, chips or any signs or wear - and I’ve even dropped it outside. I even ended up buying 2 24oz ones for the kids since it seemed quite durable.

Answer:	You can pay between $3 -$6 for a replacement cap. If I were you I would just buy a Smart Water (bottled water) bottle and use the cap off of it. I think there are 2 different types, plain cap and sports top.

Answer:	The opening is only about 3/4", a lifestraw will not fit into the opening. You can look into getting a Sawyer mini filter (about $20 at Walmart). The Sawyer has the same thread size as the Platypus bag. Just screw the filter directly to the bag. You can modify the Platypus drink tube to fit onto the clean water side of the Sawyer filter. It weighs 2 oz and can filter up to 100,000 gallons. The flow rate is good as well. Hope this helps.

Also ice cubes really inhibit them getting water out since they block the spout. I don’t know what the size difference between the 30 oz model and a smaller one is in terms of width and height but I would imagine it would still be on the heavy side. I Find the spout is large so you would have to watch them with it since a lot of water flows out at once. It is very durable though.

Tips

1. Before initial use, please wash with boiling hot water,2 drops of dish soap,rinse and air out to dry.

2. Before the first use, please place more than 2 gram red/green tea in the bottle, then filled the bottle with boiling hot water, close the bottle and wait for 2 hours, discard tea and water, dry it naturally.

3. Some following methods will do the job while at home or away travelling:

●Fill with equal parts white vinegar and water,soak for 24hrs,rinse and air out to dry

●Fill the bottle with water and add some baking soda or lemon juice,soak for 24hrs,then wash and dry

4. Tighten the cap and cover when using it to avoid the liquid leakage when squeezing the bottle.

5. Can be used as a hot or cold compress freezer safe, fill and freeze.

6. Bottle body resist heat temperature from -60-200 and the cap resist heat temperature from -40-120.
