Answer:	No, There was no need for a extension for the center shaft, But since I was going to use it for all my saltwater rods which have a large diameter , I purchased at a local tackle shop 12 large (1') rubber rod holders, the kind attached to the side of a cabin on a sportfishing boat. These made it work for the salt water rods, I left the 6 of the 1/2' ones that came with it on it for my freshwater rods. Also I adder four 3' casters wheels from H.D., to make it portable. In doing this, I made a OK rod holder into a great rod holder. I hope this helps. T.

Answer:	If you read my review, I took a adequate rod rad rack and turned into a great rod rack. first I replaced every other 1/2 inch rubber rod holder with 1" rubber rod holders to accommodate saltwater rods. Then I added four 3" coaster type wheels. Now it is the rod rack I wanted, Hope this helps.

Answer:	They are not with me as I write this but I think still help. The 1/2 oz size is about 2 inch. The 3/8 size is about 3 in. The 3/8 is easy to cast with good distance. 1/2 oz just needs more tuning if you use bait caster. Now, my buddy had a 13 pounder on his wall thanks to the little one. I'd get both if you can. Little one matches the hatch for several weeks.

Answer:	I purchased the 32W pump and the output thread size is M8-1.0 (as opposed to M8-1.25 which is more standard). It is certainly not NPT threading. The adapter included is a M8-1.0 to 8mm or 5/16" hose barb and the manifold is 8mm hose barb input to six 5mm hose barbs.

Answer:	You should absolutely wear head protection (helmet) while caving. There are clips (stick-on, or clip-on) that will fit most caving and rock climbing helmets to secure the headlamp (clips) strap so it will not slip off the top of the helmet. Check with others in your caving group to see what options work best for your style helmet.

Answer:	Between 2 and 3 oz. It was 2.96 oz on my scale with the packaging on. I returned it because I decided the Black Diamond Spot Lite was a far superior headlamp, definitely worth it to pay $10 more for a more compact and brighter light with more functions.

Answer:	I live in Georgia but I leave mine out all year long. I have a large clay pot that we layed down that we placed the motor inside to keep it from the elements. The outside seems to be waterproof but we didn't want to take any chances. I purchased it in June 2016.
