When I went into a canter, the strap broke and spooked my horse when the bottle landed on the ground and about de-seated me. So, I would suggest attaching it somewhere where it will not bounce when you go into a trot or canter; attaching it to the top and bottom of the bag somehow. |

| Answer: | Hi Pam,I haven't found a way to keep this latest version of the 1liter bottle from leaking around the screw-on cap. As a result of this deficiency, I only use these bottles for water and not for sticky sports drinks. Zefal also makes a 28 oz bottle, and it works quite well (no leaks). |

| Answer: | These are much better than the original that had the o-ring and always leaked. If you tighten them well they do not leak. But there's a newer one where the threaded opening is smaller than the diameter of the bottle. Those don't leak at all. From the picture, this looks like a second generation, not the third generation. Also, and this is a personal preference, I prefer the clear ones so I can see how much liquid is left in there.I just looked at the photos and the clear one is the third generation - you can see how the cap is slightly smaller in diameter than the bottle. Those are the ones to get. |
