Answer:	I dug a 4 feet deep hole with an 18-inch diameter. Set a cinder block on the base of the hole and set the Pole on it and poured concrete. Held the Pole with supports until 48 hours. Height Adjustability from 7.5 to 10 foot

The Silverback SB54iG offers height adjustability, so everyone in the family can get in on the game. Answer:	The extra 4-6 inches would help but ten inches should be good. As long as you also fill the center with concrete to make it sturdy

Answer:	I would go just a couple of inches deeper than the sleeve is long. Any deeper and you run the risk of not having the rim go all the way to 10 feet high. Putting it in the sleeve gives the whole thing more play when you're shooting which is not a good thing. They really should make the bottom post longer so you can sink it deeper for better stability. Answer:	The ground sleeve is 16" in length, 14" of it will be in the concrete. Thus, 14" of the pole.

This item, #71525, comes with three pole sections, the bottom one of which is cemented directly into the ground, the backboard, hoop, net, and lift kit. It comes with all necessary screws, nuts, and bolts to put it together.That being said, it does NOT come with a "ground sleeve" kit, which is a separate, short metal pole section with a metal plate and single bolt, which some people like so that they can take the pole OUT of the ground at will simply by loosening the bolt. I did buy the ground sleeve section separately, and it comes with the metal plate and bolt.Hope this helps you.
Question:	How does the backboard play? Does it give realistic play for bank shots
Answer:	Well, the backboard wasn't as thick as I had hoped. Given that it's mounted from the ground up on a pole there is a little more "play" on the backboard for bank shots. However, it plays a lot better than the b ball hoops that are just mounted from a sand or water filled plastic base. For the price it's not a bad hoop. Installation was relatively easy. It helps having a 15 year old son willing to do the grunt work. The ground in AZ isn't the easiest thing to dig.

Answer:	Yes, but because of the assembly method, it can be imprecise at its highest setting. I ended up measuring and adjusting with wood to make sure I was getting exactly regulation height.

Answer:	The acrylic backboard of the 1269 is a more rigid material than the plastic backboard of the 1221. Acrylic's stiffness produces better bank shots, rebounds and holds up better than the plastic backboard. Which is why the 1269 usually costs a bit more than the 1221. Hope this helps!

Answer:	Our anchor system that connects the hoop to the concrete as a 10" x 10" pattern. Unfortunately, we do not have a way to convert the 7" x 7" to a 10" x 10" pattern. If you wanted to use our basketball goal, you would have to cut the concrete and replace the screws, or simply but the hoop in another spot on your court.
Question:	How does this bolt to the ground? Do I need to install it before the court is poured
Answer:	The hoop is installed through this process: A 2' L x 2' W x 3' H hole is dug, filled with concrete, then using our "bolt kit" a base plate is laid on top of the concrete. Once the concrete has set the hoop is then bolted to the base plate and is anchored into the concrete.

Answer:	As long as Gared has adjustable holes. Holes look like L shape which is adjustable. Hope this will help you.
Question:	It would have to be secured with cement. How is this hoop pole fixated normally? By driving into the dirt? and then cement
Answer:	The pole is installed by first digging a 2 ft x 2 ft hole that goes 3 ft down. After which, the concrete is laid and should fill half of the hole, 4 rebars are then placed and the hole should be filled a little bit more. After, the J-Bars are installed using the bolt plate as a guide for placement of the J-Bolts. The process is finished by filling the rest of the hole with the concrete. Question:	the base of our old pole is bent. would this be able to hold the current pole in position? It was hit as we backed out our driveway
Answer:	So, the bend would have to be higher up on the pole so that the bottom part of the pole (the part that goes into the base) is straight. The base requires that the pole be straight for about 3 feet at the bottom. If the bend is higher up than 3 feet it should hold it fine. Second issue to address is adjusting the base so that the pole and backboard are not tilted due to the bent pole....you will find that the adjustment for that is pretty easy and self explanatory as you put the base up. Hope this helps. Finally, I'd still buy the base if I was in your situation...if the bend does make it to difficult I'd just find another pole or a used bball hoop for sale on craigslist, etc.
Question:	Q:I need to install into concrete driveway (slope and cable lines inground). What additional items do i need to buy to install it
Answer:	You install to the side of the drive so that the post for the hoop will land on the driveway. If there are cables in ground they will need to be moved or find a different place to put the hoop. This thing goes in the ground 18-24” I’d guess. It’s big. If on a slope I’d think thing only thing extra you’d need would be a way to stabilize the post as it would land at an angle to the concrete. Maybe a wedge under the post. You only need a sledge hammer to install the base into the ground. You need a ratchet set for the assembly of the top part.

Answer:	There are no specific part to convert angle hoop to straight . The conversion is done directly on the hoop mechanism. Most portable hoop can be converted very easily and quickly like Spalding brand ones. But other brands like Sylverback are impossible to convert perfectly. Be sure your hoop can be converted before buying.

Answer:	I would say you would likely have to mount it to something else and use the U brackets on that mount. The spacing for the bolts wouldn’t give you enough space to fit around a tether ball pole, let alone a basketball hoop pole.

Answer:	Standard basketball is about 9.7 inches in diameter and the rim is about 12.6 inches in diameter.

Answer:	No. It comes with rods, threaded on one end and with a hook on the other to anchor the base in the concrete.
Question:	What are the measurements of the base? How far apart are the bolts
Answer:	The J-Bolt plate is 9X9 but the bolt pattern for the plate is 7X7.
Question:	How deep of a hole do you have to dig
Answer:	We dug down 3 feet. We love the system. Very, very solid and it looks like it belongs at a home and not in a playground.
Question:	Can this system be installed in an indoor court?, we have a huge warehouse in a community center
Answer:	I don't see why not - but you will need to dig down through the concrete foundation of the warehouse, which can be done if you rent the right tools. I can imagine it will take a lot of strength and patience. Just be sure to look up how far down the hole should go and how much concrete to put in. We overdid it a bit - going down about 4 feet - I think only 2-3 is required - just do a little research. Consider how far down the concrete slab of your warehouse goes - if you're digging through concrete with a rented digger it will take a long time and will require hiring someone to do it or taking turns with some strong men with strong backs!
