Answer: yes, white or any light color ball; I use a dark backdrop behind my net; works great; they need to update the algorithm for the 9 iron, all else is fine, indoor and outside.

Answer: I have used several different types of golf balls to see what’s best for my swing with varied results. That being said I would assume range balls not being premium or a player ball would affect distance measurements.

The Ambient Weather WS-2000 is a comprehensive local and remote monitoring package. The high-definition, full color TFT LCD display is easy to read, day or night, and includes a light and dark colored background.



The console receives wireless wind speed, direction, rainfall, temperature, humidity, UV and Solar Radiation from the outdoor sensor array. It can also receive barometric pressure, humidity and temperature from the optional indoor sensor (sold separately). The brilliant, dynamic color tablet combines measured parameters with calculated data, such as 'Feels Like' Temperature (Wind Chill and Heat Index), Dew Point, 10 Minute Wind Speed and Direction, Sunrise, Sunset, Moon Phase, Forecast, and more. The multi-screen display also includes NIST internet time server synchronization, imperial and metric units of measure, high and low alarm conditions with audible alert, calibration of all major parameters, and real-time internet weather publishing.



The wireless sensor array connects to the console via RF (915 MHz) up to 330 feet line of sight in open air (100 feet under most conditions). The wireless signal will not pass through solid metal, earth, or ground. The sensor array's primary power source is a solar panel which charges the super capacitor, with optional battery backup (batteries not included).



The sensor array mounts to any pole between 1 and 2" diameter with adaptive mounting bracket and U-Bolt design that can be tightened to your mounting pole (not included).



The WiFi settings are entered directly into the display tablet using the interactive buttons, and encrypted WiFi transmission is supported. The WS-2000 also displays minimum and maximum conditions with time and date stamp, historical archived data, which can be exported to SD Card (optional, not included) for advanced data analysis in Excel. The SD Card is also used for firmware updates.

Answer: The only external antenna terminals are for AM. You say "dipole", so it sounds like you want to listen to FM. On the other hand, even though the FM antenna is only 22.5 inches long when fully extended, the review here indicates that it works better than the longer antennas of other portable radios (ref. - https://radiojayallen.com/c-crane-cc-3-cc-2e/). All that said, I would rather not take a chance and, instead, get a radio with the same 5 star FM rating (on RadioJayAllen) that has an external FM antenna connection. You can check out the others, but I do own the Sangean HDR-18 and it is a great radio for distant reception on AM and FM. But, it only has one speaker. If you want stereo, you would connect to the REC OUT jack and run it into amplified stereo speakers.
Question: If a portion of the Osprey goes bad, can it be replaced, or do I have to buy the whole thing? For example, the rain gauge goes out

Answer: Not really, active infrared would be far more reliable for your use case. Modulate an IR LED at about 1kHz and check the level received on an AC coupled photodiode.

Answer: YOu could connect it to the Analog inputs of the Arduino, and either write your own sketch, or look for one on the interwebs. The other option is to build the external signal processing circuit in teh datasheet, and connect that to one of the digital inputs that also drives a timer/counter and count the pulses to determine distance and speed. Probably your easiest, but maybe not the most accurate is to use the Analog inputs. I do recommend a simple voltage follower buffer between the HB100 and the Arduino input.

Answer: Depends on the size and speed of your target. With an added microwave horn (made from aluminum foil), a preamp circuit (1 opamp), and a Arduino-type controller (Teensy T3.2) doing a FFT on the signal, I was able to detect a person walking at 2.2 mph out to 80 feet. Answer: You are not gonna hide the spiral stretch wire very easily. If you use hard wire kit and it's mounted up high on the windshield then you can run the wire under the edge of the trim and to the fuse panel. That's what I did.

Answer: Standard USB ports only deliver around 5 volts. Most detectors need 12 volts, which is what the cigarette lighter socket supplies.
Question: Why it’s not notifying me when there’s a cop close to me every time
Answer: As the other gentleman said, it's a radar detector, not a cop detector. It will only go off when you detect a police officer using his radar gun. Whether hand-held or the stationery type that operate as the police car is stopped or even driving. But when an officer isn't actually doing speed checks, they often turn the radar unit off. Even then, not all police cars are equipped with radar. A lot of police agencies may only have less than 10% of their units equipped with radar.

J.LUMI YCA2002 microwave motion detector is the next generation motion sensor. It works by emitting 5.8 GHz electro-megnetic waves and receive echoes bouncing off moving objects. Question: My radar does not work accurately is there an adjustment
Answer: The only adjustments I know of are pushing the button to go from MPH to KPH or changing the angle and distance of the unit from the ball. The speed measured is slower on mine compared to my golf pro's $10,000 machine but it is consistent so you can see if you are gaining or losing club-head speed.
Question: Do you need to actually hit a ball when measuring swing speed
Answer: when I swing without a ball my average driver is about 93mph. Tee up the ball and swing at it and my average is about 88MPH Yet the instructions indicate that when swing without a ball your speed will register roughly 5 to 10 percent lower. With me its the reverse swinging without the ball is 5 to 10 percent higher ? Weird huh ?
Question: Will a cluttered background confuse the radar, such as in a garage
Answer: No I do not believe so as you put the radar next to the ball.
Question: can this measure the speed of swinging a table tennis paddle
Answer: The website shows the the tool measuring a golf club and a baseball bat. I will sometimes make a slow swing by the monitor with a club and it will register as slow as 25 mph or so. It might register a paddle speed, but I wound not want to bet on it.

Answer: The description has: 85-265V AC. So I do not think it will work with 12V DC. I used 120VAC wiring and it works well.

Answer: In standby, just a fraction of power. In working mode, it depends on the load capacity. Less load less power and more load more power.

Answer: Not sure about the evo3, but came with everything needed for my GO7 XSR. Check simrad’s website for compatibility if it is then you should be fine.
