Question:	Is this compass waterproof
Answer:	You won't need to shorten it !!! My arm is not that big and I am in the next to last hole!! Nice band ,,could be a little longer..
Question:	Does it have a hole for a lanyard
Answer:	The buckle side is 3" and the other end of the strap is almost exactly 5" to the pointed tip end. (So, it's the same length as my factory-made Panerai strap, but not quite as stiff). My wrist is about 7 & 1/4" around and it fits well. I've had it for a few months and put it on an older Breitling. It makes the watch look new. It is comfortable and it appears to be well made. You'll need to make sure you have the spring bars from your watch or order new ones. I feel that it was a great value.

Question:	Works in Australia
Answer:	Well, mine did not work so well in the United States. It arrived with apparently a crack SOMEWHERE that wasn't obvious. It leaked out oil, let in air and the needle would have friction issues. When I first saw question, I nearly responded with a smart-ass response, as North is North everywhere. That is true, but apparently many compass needles tip and rub in the Southern Hemisphere, a phenomena I had not originally realized. That being said, I'm unsure if this suffers from the "southern dip."
Question:	Does this compass include a set of reference cards that reside in the baseplate cover
Answer:	Reference cards like instructions? No. It includes a stack of clear cards with UTM overlays and distance scales - 1:24,000, etc.
Question:	Is it metric or imperial
Answer:	I don't have it here it's at my hunting shack, but I use imperial. I am trying to remember about metric and army grid coordinates, I think you can use it all ways, but I would check the specs if I were you.

Answer:	No it does not. You can spin the nut with your fingers or a small pair of pliers

Answer:	You know I am not too sure...i put it on a Halsey Taylor unit. I just pulled the part and it looked like that so I ordered it and it fit. It installed in a metal holder that the brass nut is used to hold it to. Pull the part and check! Sorry couldn't help more
