Answer:	Copied from my review, I hope this helps. On my mower this replacement carburetor is slightly different and has a spring to operate the choke on the carburetor. The original carburetor had a linkage bar to a spring attached to the front of the lawnmower. If you come across this remove the choke linkage bar (it's not needed). Just attach the governor linkage and reassemble your mower. Verified with Briggs & Stratton the 594058 carb is the only carburetor listed engine Model 104M020008F1

Answer:	From my understanding Can am kept things pretty standard across all platforms with their CVT (sxs & quads). I’ve used this tool on commanders and Mavericks to spread the discs. I have not done a a defender yet but I would say there is a very good chance it will work for you. If you do buy this, make sure to thread it on by hand to make sure it works, do not hammer it on with an impact until you know it works.
