Answer:	It's a very thick supportive pillow. About 3". My grandson's head was very flat in one spot and getting a severe point on top. His neck cradled perfectly at the base and hugged the sides of his head and the backside was opened to allow it to form to a natural roundness. This worked like a miracle for him!
