Answer:	Pants have both a snap type button and a drawstring which is actually better than I expected. I don't like drawstrings either but this one is sort of inside the waistband and isn't annoying like some can be. I highly recommend these pants...I just got them and am wearing them all the time. They keep their shape but have a nice amount of stretch. Not too thick or thin and block wind pretty well too.
