I have taken the explorer down a class 3 river the cabarrton river in Idaho with no problems. Take the skeg off if you do rivers, will just cause you problems if you dont, mainly you will loose it. Only use tue skeg in lakes or ponds.

If you don't mind the cling, get your normal size, but if you are self conscious about your mid section, I would suggest either spanks for tummy/thigh control, or going up an extra size. Answer:	I have definitely used it for more than 4 miles, but not in an rapids, only lakes. I don't know how it would hold up if it hit any sharp rocks, but mine doesn't have any holes and has hit a lot of branches and logs ( with 2 people in it).

Answer:	More than enough room to sit in. I'm the same height and me and my wife fit legs stretched out with a small cooler in the middle. Drug a floating fish basket and worked perfect. I recommend getting the trolling motor transom attachment.

Answer:	yes. But they are not very sturdy. one of ours busted as we were paddling while we were out on the lake. They were pretty short, as well.

Answer:	Honestly, I have pretty big arms, and the lace sleeves worked for me in my size. The dress sleeves were a better fit than their shirt lace sleeves. You could contact the company directly - they have great customer service!

Answer:	I’m brown skinned/complexion and it was noticeable, not sheer. If your more honey/light complexion it may not be as bad.
