1) Parents play an important role in particular at the initial stage of alarm treatment in waking your child as soon as the alarm goes off and are therefore recommended to sleep in the same room with your child for the first 2 weeks of using the alarm. Gradually, the child will be able to respond to the alarm on his/her own.

2) The position of the sensor is important. For boy, it could be better to clip the sensor to the inside flap of their underwear as the sensor can detect the urine quicker. For girls, the sensor should be attached on the crotch area since it is most likely to get wet first.

Answer:	The cord is 28 inches long.
Question:	My child got up to use the bathroom and took the sensor jack(the wire) out of the unit to remove her underwear, the alarm went off is that normal
Answer:	Yes. The only slight draw backs are that some times pressure on the pad can set it off as well. Once you set the unit...if you unplug it, apply too much pressure to the pad, it will sound the alarm. (False alarm) Just reset the Chummie (Top button) when this happens and you are ready to go.

Question:	How do I change the tones and adjust vibration in the Smart bedwetting alarm
Answer:	Disconnect sensor from alarm unit. Press the middle button and release. The alarm will beep and vibrate. If you do nothing else, that setting is chosen. If you press the button again the alarm unit will only beep (no vibration). If you do nothing else, that setting is chosen. If you press the button again the alarm unit will only vibrate (no beep). If you do nothing else, that setting is chosen. It has a total of three settings to chose from. You don't have to changes tones at night since the alarm will automatically cycle through 8 tones for you!
Question:	Does smart Bedwetting Alarm have an on/off switch
Answer:	No it does not. A switch is not needed. Inserting the sensor turns on the alarm and removing it turns it off.
Question:	I need a loud alarm. Is this alarm loud for a deep sleeper
Answer:	Yes! I have a very deep sleeper kid and it woke him up!
Question:	Can you turn the loud alarm off and use the vibration? I have 2-3 kids sleeping in the room at one time. Will it still wake up a deep sleeper

Question:	Alarm did not go off, he wore under wear under pullups with sensor attached. Underwear was soaked and no alarm. We tested the alarm and it works. Help
Answer:	The alarm went off immediately each time, even when he started to just dribble a little toward the end of the training. I don't know how old your child is, but nothing about this should be convenient. Our son was 9. Tips: NO MORE PULL UPS, that defeats the purpose. Make sure the alarm is across room. The first 3 nights, my husband slept in the living room. When the alarm went off, MY SON, had to go to the bathroom, change his underwear, put the clip back on, take the water proof pad off his bed and put it in a pile then put another one on (we had three folded up by his bed, I took an old sheet, cut it in half and sewed a vinyl table cloth to it so it was wide enough to tuck in across the bed). My husband helped him with this process the first 3 nights then we left him on his own. We talked about it each morning in just a matter of fact way. Sometimes he wet 2-3 times. He was completely cured of bed wetting within a month. It has been about 7 months so far and we are all still amazed!!! I truly believe that the child having to take care of themselves at night contributes to resetting their system. Good luck, don't give up!

Answer:	It seems helpful. My son is doing better, but it has not stopped the bed wetting completely. It seems to be training his body to stop urinating, but is a slow process.

Answer:	It's about 2 1/4" square and about 1/2" deep. Comfort depends on how your kid sleeps. You should be able to find a spot that isn't too intrusive for them though.

Tips for using bedwetting alarms

1) Parents play an important role in particular at the initial stage of alarm treatment in waking your child as soon as the alarm goes off and are therefore recommended to sleep in the same room with your child for the first 2 weeks of using the alarm. Gradually, the child will be able to respond to the alarm on his/her own.

2) The position of the sensor is important. For boy, it could be better to clip the sensor to the inside flap of their underwear as the sensor can detect the urine quicker. For girls, the sensor should be attached on the crotch area since it is most likely to get wet first.

3) The underwear should be close fitting which is closer to the body and therefore urine will be detected by the sensor more quickly. DO NOT use loose boxer shorts.

Question:	Just pre-test the blue one and it has flashing red lights, but when I put a wet cloth in to test, it doesn't have sound or vibrate. Anybody knows why
Answer:	Please make sure you are using only Energizer or Duracell non-rechargeable batteries with your unit. Generic or off brand batteries will not work in the unit. Also, some tap water will not activate the alarm as it is looking for salty liquids. Once you have the correct batteries in the unit, wet your finger and touch either side of the sensor and the alarm should go off right away.
Question:	THe clip has been coming off my child's underwear, anyway to tighten it
Answer:	The clip should not be coming off. I suggest you return the device as soon as possible. But first ensure that child is not pulling clip off and also that you have clipped it properly.
Question:	We have tried the alarm for two weeks and still wetting the bed even with the alarm ringing. Is this part of the process
Answer:	This happened to me too but I realized that it was because the sensor was not placed right. I had mine placed so that as soon as there's any wetness, it goes off. I have a boy so it's very tricky. Hang in there, it gets better 🙂🙂

Question:	Where exactly where do you place the magnet? If it’s activated when wet, it would have to be right on his......otherwise the bed will get wet anyway
Answer:	My son put it on his underwear right by his.... it doesn't stop them from wetting. They still went. It wakes them when they do wet usually in mid stream so they associate the wetting with waking up. The 1st week gets wet around 4-5 times, the next week 2-3 and by the third week he continued to wear it but didn't wet and woke up when he had to pee. He hasn't wet since. It's been amazing for him.
Question:	how does it attach? my autistic adult son might try to remove it. I need something unobtrusive. Which picture depicted is the sensor
Answer:	The sensor is the second item to the right above the remote. It attaches to regular briefs magnetically where urine is released. You can pull another pair of briefs (or Pull-Ups like device) over this so that the sensor is not as obvious to the user. If you use the DryBuddy wetness sensing briefs, the sensor is snapped on at the waist and covered with a Velcro tape. This would be much less obvious to your son and also more comfortable.
Question:	Does the sensor attach easily to the child’s own underwear? Would the wired underwear be more comfortable and easier
Answer:	The DryBuddyFLEX 3 attaches to regular cotton briefs. I would suggest that the cotton briefs be liquid absorbent and fits snugly. You can also get the DryBuddy wetness sensing briefs which are very comfortable and pick up moisture reliably in a large area. Question:	Is it possible to have the alarm sound on the parent/caregiver remote only? I’d like to wake my child so his sibling in the room isn’t disturbed
Answer:	Yes. If you have two transceivers, one in the child's room and one in the parent's room, the child's transceiver can be set to silent. If you have only one transceiver, you can place it in the parent's room. In most homes, the wireless transmission should be powerful enough to get from the child's room to the parent's room.

Question:	How do I turn this unit to the vibrate only mode? The alarm scared my kid to death
Answer:	If you open your unit to the battery compartment, you will find a three way switch. This switch allows you to change the mode from alarm and vibrate to alarm only or vibrate only.
Question:	The description says there is a "Two step" shut off process... how do you get the alarm to stop once its gone off? Is there a button or switch
Answer:	You press and hold the button to shut off the sound. It shuts off fast. You also have to make sure the sensor is dry. I guess that is the second step.
Question:	What is the size of the sensor? It is hard to tell from the picture and not in the product descriptions. Also, do the edges sharp to hurt baby
Answer:	The alarm is about the size of say a small beeper. The sensor no bigger than a quarter. I would be hesitant to use it on anyone less than say 3 who would be able to untangle the cord in case it got stuck. My son has not complained about sharp edges. He is 7.
Question:	Can this alarm be used with pull ups instead of underwear
Answer:	I put on my child's underwear under the pull-up, & attach the sensor to the underwear. She then can feel the wetness, & the alarm isn't touching her skin. I got tired of changing sheets, so pull ups were a God sent.

Question:	I am calculating that using Chummie for several month costs a lot for tapes and sensors. What is your true experience
Answer:	You use the same sensor. We use medical tape a little goes a long way! instead of the Chummie tape - that doesn't work the greatest with little panties. I tape the cord to the top of the panty line but we also put a pull-up on over the panties (to protect bedding) and it also holds the sensor in place.

Answer:	The Chummie Pro system comes with a metal stand. Place mat in sleeve and under bedsheet. Then place the alarm in the stand and on the bedside. Connect the mat and alarm. The alarm is loud and will wake up deep sleepers.
Question:	Is there a way to purchase an additional alarm box? I ham placing the order for this set but wondered if just the alarm was also available as a backup

Answer:	1 week is not enough time. It's a frustrating process I know but it does take time. I'd say we used it for about 2 months. After the first month he had stopped wetting but we used it for an additional month just to make sure.
