Question: So if I only fill it with 1/2 the amount of water the sides will be pretty flmsy
Answer: When you get the pool, it comes rolled up in a box. After using it, you can stand on one part of the side to drain the water, hang to dry on a fence or garden chair, and then roll it back up to store it. As for setup, it's easy. Just set it on a flat level surface, put the hose in, and straighten out the bottom and sides as it fills up. The sides will stay up once you have at least a few inches of water in it.

Answer: I would say starfish. Ordered September 2015.

Answer: No it does not. It doesn't even come in the color or pattern shown. I blew it up and it was not even a full circle just a weird trapezoid shape. I ended up throwing it away

Answer: That's a really good question, one which I hadn't given much thought to previously. It depends how old they are, because some grandparents, like me, are still pretty young so I suspect they would enjoy it. However, if your grandparents are in their 80s or 90s it might be hard for them to enjoy.

Answer: If you are talking about the flocked side of air mattress, you should be able to take a pot scrubber or fine sand paper and gently remove the flocking. The repair patch should then adhere to the bare vinyl.

Answer: I'm not sure, I could use a longer hose as well but haven't looked for one as the one that came with it is adequate.

Answer: I would not buy either one. The Was Bought to air up floats and lake toys and it gets too hot and stops and can’t do the job of one much less multiple items
