The Maxi weighs about 40% more than the smaller Mini and can accommodate riders up to age 12 (ages 5-12)-- there are not many scooters that are suitable for both a 3-year-old as well as a 12-year-old. As these scooters are "lean to steer" models wherein riders use their *body weight* to steer, it is very important that a kiddo is big/old/heavy-enough to ride a given scooter; if they are not, the scooter will mainly just to straight,, something which is not very fun. We still have room for small ice chest, rope, water bag, and water containers. 2) I’ve had mine for about a year. I use it in the hot Arizona sun. I’ve yet to have a leak. My brother ran it over with a Ford F-150 inflated and it’s still going strong. 3) I wouldn’t be too concerned about taking anyone out, kids or adults. Answer:	I think so. I have a 9 year old too and she is very tall, almost 4’10”. For her it’s to short , but she still wants to ride it. She has her own 2 wheel scooter , but she wants to ride her little brother’s. I am thinking to call a company and see maybe they have a taller handle bar for this one, since the Weight limit on the scooter is 140 pounds, According to a paper that came with it . Will see.
