Question:	What the max voltage this should be charged to? 12.7v? what charger do you use for agm batteries with what results
Answer:	I have mine set up in my off grid solar system. I use the commander 40 amp mppt charge controller with the mt50 tracer meter. I set the control parameters for sealed and I keep the boost charge at 14.4, and the float charge at 13.8. I don't put an equalization charge on these because renogy advised against it. I get great results with these parameters. The full state of charge is 12.8. However, you can't just charge them to 12.8, you have to go through the different phases to properly charge these batteries. If your not using a solar charge controller, you need a smart charger so you can set the charge rates for the different states of charge. I hope this helps.
Question:	where can i find the terminal studs
Answer:	Mine arrived without screws, I picked up 5/16" x 3/4" from home depot along with matching washer and lock washer. The bolt length will be the 3/4", the bolt size for the terminal screw i portion is the 5/16". You probably could go with a slightly shorter bolt too if you are only connecting one battery cable to the terminal.
Question:	i am using 17k watt power per day. how many of this battery will I be needed for my power bank
Answer:	Dividing 17 kilowatt hours (kWh) by 12 volts I get 1417 amp hours. Batteries should be discharged to a maximum of 50% to provide reasonable service life. You would need 2834 amp hours of the rated capacity at 12 volts to operate and survive a couple years of the repeated discharge cycles. You need 15 of the 200Ah batteries (or 29 100Ah batteries.) Don't forget that you will also need to have approximately 20 kWh (1700Ah @ 12 volts) per day of charging capacity to accommodate battery storage and discharge inefficiencies.
Question:	Would 2 100ah batteries be better or the same as 1 of the 200ah
Answer:	As far as capacity goes it's the same. However, 2 100 ah batteries would be better than 1 200 ah battery. This is because if anything ever happens to the 1 200 ah hour battery your screwed until you get another one. But, if anything ever happens to one of your 2 100 ah hour batteries, you at least have that second one you can run off of until you can get a new 100 ah battery. It always better to have a battery bank consisting of at least two batteries in case anything ever happens. You also have options of parallel connection or series connection for a 12 volt or 24 volt battery bank respectively. With just one battery, you get what you get.

Answer:	My short answer is Yes - the yellow should be better. Deep cycle type batteries do better than regular batteries. They can be run down and then charged back up without consequence, whereas the red is not a deep cycle, so it might not like it as much.Heres my long version. The yellow top has the properties of a deep cycle where it's the better type to use if you have an audio/video system that you sometimes run with the car turned off for a long period of time (and it gets charged back up later when running), so from that perspective, it sounds pretty similar to running it in a race car.But here's where I would be out of my element a bit. It seems to me that it would depend on the type of race and what the power requirements would be. If it was just a drag race where it's starting off charged, and then run for maybe 15 minutes while getting ready for an 11 second run, then I bet either would work well and the determining factor of the winning choice would be weught. And maybe even an entirely different and significantly smaller (lighter) battery altogether might be a better choice. But your question was about yellow or red. I think their weights are pretty similar, so I think you'd get the best performance from the yellow. I believe a deep cycle is made to be more durable and provide sustained power longer (that's the general purpose of a deep cycle from what I remember reading). And they don't have issues being run down and charged back up, so the yellow deep cycle should be better for the guy at a car audio video show, or a race car driver, or i bet even a person that just has a failing alternator, but a short drive to work and a garage and place to park and charge his battery each night.The yellow is a better battery, and I was very pleased with the price I paid for mine too through Amazon. Answer:	Blue is for marine use. Yellow top is called a "deep cycle" battery and is for high demand use such as vehicles with high wattage sound systems or electrical systems that draw a lot of power like off-road lights, snow plows, etc. The red top is for most vehicles on the road and the one I've had the best luck with. The yellow top, if not cycled and/or charged properly runs a higher risk of shorting out, not common, but possible (I did it to one) but I've never had a problem with the red tops. As for the temperature range, it's not going to be much different than a standard batter. Their advantage is they use a a spiral "cell" as opposed to plates that standard batteries use. In theory, their life cycle should be longer as there is less of a chance for the batter to short out as plates are typically close together where in the Optima, the spiral is in a tube/cell of it's own. How to Use

1. Check your battery parameters is compatible to the charger (at the back of the charger).

2. Connect the red clamp to the positive pole(+), black clamp to the negative pole.

3. The LCD display will show battery voltage, charge current and inside temperature (Temperature is for reference only, allowed tolerance).

4. Wrong battery connection： “EI-I-” will displayed on screen , the indicating lamp will flash.

5. Connect the charger with AC power source, the charger will start to operate (the Charge-lamp will start to flash in red).

6. Once the battery is fully charged, the battery bar on screen will in “FUL” status, meanwhile, the charge indicating lamp will keeps on. Keep the charged status in 1-2 hours is highly recommended.

7. Charging completed, remove the charger.

Remark: for 4Ah-15Ah battery, we suggest use “Repair” mode, because the battery size is too small, use pulse charge is very good for small size battery.

Question:	Does this item have an internal cooling fan
Answer:	Yes, it does. This smart battery charger features with one cooling fan and reliable cooling vent to disperse heat and increase charging efficiency.
Question:	How long does reconditioning or repair mode take? My battery has been in repair mode for over 12 hrs. Can it get stuck and does that hurt the battery
Answer:	The recondition time depends on the status of your battery. The recondition function adopts high voltage up to 15.8V to stimulation battery, mainly for the bad battery caused by short circuit or low-softening plate. The working cycle is five cycles, each cycle is 4 hours. If the charger test concludes that the battery (using the object) is still less than 12V after the repair cycle, the dead battery is determined.
Question:	Why does my charger keep saying clap the battery when i did and nothing happens
Answer:	Below about 4Volts, the charger doesn't think a battery is connected, and you won't see voltage displayed. If you can boost or parallel the voltage high enough, it will start charging, but a battery that dead is probably destroyed. As for other answer saying to press the charge button, you can change options for 30 seconds and manually press charge, or just wait and it starts by itself (auto-amperage and flooded cell by default) once it detects the battery and you see voltage displayed.
Question:	Will the charger work with batteries connected in parallel (eg. RV house batteries) without having to disconnect them
Answer:	This smart battery charger supports charging 12V lead-acid battery. It is not recommended to charge battery in parallel. Because the surge current is too large, the battery would be damaged.

Answer:	The length of warranty on paper doesn’t matter because getting them to act on it is difficult. They wanted me to send the charger to them at my cost and wait without a charger for 6?weeks

Answer:	The clamps are metal on the inside (obviously), and a durable plastic on the outside as insulating covers. Looks to be pretty durable, I've had no problems with them. But then, I tend to take care of my toys! :-) This unit, by the way, was an excellent investment...after having owned several less-capable chargers. This one restored my Yellow Top battery back to its full capacity in short order! I own a Tahoe Hybrid and had installed the Yellow Top as a result of standard batteries not holding a full charge after a year or two, and often draining when not running the Tahoe at least once every 4-5 days or so. Can connect full-time to the battery the accompanying cable, making the use of clamps unnecessary! Just have to remember to unplug it!
