Answer:	Yes. I used this set for a Cub Scout whittling project. This wood is not quite as soft as Balsa, but hand-sanding it is definitely possible.
Question:	Is it a clasp or velco strap
Answer:	I don't, in my opinion the best kuksas are made from green hardwood, preferably birch. Greenwood is much easier to work with hand tools. If you have power than any hardwood will do just stay away from any that are toxic, or have a strong order. I have also made kuksas by laminating dry 1" thick hardwood broads together. Your best bet for green wood is to contact someone who supplies firewood locally.
Question:	Does it have a night glow feature
Answer:	You may have got a batch from Hobby Lobby that was old and dried out. Our wood is milled, kiln dried while retaining 8-10% moisture and sold within a few months of being cut. Sharp knife, shallow cuts and you will find out wood butter smooth.

Answer:	Watch strap (on watch I had) goes thru a "plastic" ring that holds the strap and allows it to be adjusted by the Velcro fastener that is on the strap. It allows a you to adjust the strap with more variation than just a standard buckle. -Hope this helps
