Answer:	Good Compass but not great Hold down on one of the buttons and the watch face becomes a compass. It shows the degrees (0-360) and the general direction (SE for example). You would not use this watch to plot a course on a map. For that, you can buy a compass for less than $20 that lie flat on a map, can be adjusted for a magnetic correction, they have lines, etc.

About Suunto

Suunto was founded in 1936 by outdoors man and a keen orienteering enthusiast, Tuomas Vohlonen, who had long been bothered by a problem: the inaccuracy of traditional dry compasses and their lack of steady needle operation. Being an engineer with an inventive turn of mind, he discovered and patented the production method for a much steadier needle, better readings, and a new level of accuracy.

By 1950 the company was exporting compasses to over 50 countries around the world, including Canada and the United States. In 1952, Helsinki was hosting the Olympic Games, and the torches carried to light the Olympic flame were Suunto products. The next step was improving the stability and accuracy of marine compasses. Question:	what size wrist does the standard black rubber strap fit
Answer:	My wrist is ~8.5", maybe a little more. The Vector band fits my wrist on the last hole. There is not enough band left to fit into the sleeve intended to secure the end of the band. The Core band is about 3/4" longer.

Answer:	Push the 2 left buttons and upper and lower right buttons at the same time, puts the watch in sleep mode then push right center button and wait for it to turn on, it’ll say language, scroll with right upper and lower buttons

Answer:	As far as I know, no, A B C, altimeter, barometric, compass. I was debating on this watch vs. a GPS watch, but I wouldn't use the GPS watch as much. I hope this helps

Answer:	I have been researching the Suunto Core All Black to find the best price for purchase. One of the key features needed is an alarm clock, but I could not find any definitive information as to whether it had one or not. Even the Suunto website and manual was not very cut and dry with an answer. I contacted Suunto customer service and asked about this function (pf which they responded in the affirmative), but I also asked the comment made here stating Amazon purchases are not honored via warranty. Suunto stated this is COMPLETELY FALSE! Amazon IS an authorized reseller. You need only keep your receipt. Finally have this issue/question clearly and easily resolved after so many guesses since 2013!

Question:	does it have Luminous light in the dark without using battery light
Answer:	The hands glow if they get enough light. There is a light,but it only illuminates the face and not the digital readout. It's been fine for the times I've needed to see what time it was in the dark.
Question:	Can the digital display be set for military time
Answer:	It's hard to see but just outside the 1 -12 is the military time. 1 is 13 , 6is 18. I believe when you set up the digital side you can set it for military. Hope this was helpful .

Question:	How does one set the date/time/year ? The instructions are too difficult to follow and does not produce expected results
Answer:	Here's a bit of an orientation. Put your watch down on the table. Note there are four buttons; "A" at 8 O'Clock is for selecting the mode or sub-mode. "B" at 10:00 is the indiglo light; we won't need it. "C" at 2:00 is the change value button. "D" at 4:00 is the "set"/"accept settings" button. There are two digital times you can set on this watch; the regular time and the second timezone (labelled T2). Hit the "Mode" button (A) until time OR date you want to change is displayed (the watch can be set to display either the digital time OR the date). Now press and hold the set/accept button (D); you'll see the word "Hold" appear. Hold the button down until the world "Hold" disappears. You are now setting the time and everything you do will be interpreted that way until you hit the set/accept button again to save your input.Notice that the seconds value in the time is flashing. IF you want to change the seconds, hit the "change value" button (C) to set them to zero. You can use this to synchronize the digital time on the watch *exactly* to another clock with a second hand.Hit the mode button (A) and the hour will start flashing. Press the change value button (C) until the correct hour appears.
