User questions & answers
Question: | Can i use this pump on my rear fox shock |
Answer: | I have no marks from the backing on my floors. |
Question: | what is the exact lengh of pump |
Answer: | Hi Dee, I use this carpet over flat flooring; however, I just Tried it over a carpeted floor of my home. It will stay in place if you walk softly over it. If you walk roughly over it or if you scrape your shoes over it, it will move, but not by much. Hope this helps.Jim |
Question: | Does this pump come with a mounting bracket |
Answer: | Get a tube of 100 % silicone and squirt it on the underneath corners and a little in the center.Flatten around with a stick or your finger.Let dry completely 24 hours and the carpet will not slip again. You do not need to put silicone all over the back. This procedure works very well for me.I wash them in the carport with a long handle brush, hose the soap off and they are like brand new I love these rugs! |
Question: | can this be used on a presta valve bike tire? like a road/racing bike with french/uk valves |
Answer: | Dear Harriett, I already had one rug that I purchased at a store and then found this one online. They are muted, autumnal colors for the most part. The outer edge is beige, the background is like a stone-ground mustard. The red is blood red, green is olive green, the navy accents are deep almost eggplant blue purple, the blue is definitely aqua, the brown blends well with the olive green accents - I would not call it chocolate brown. And the color that is most unusual is the peachy rust color. They all blend nicely together and the palate is warm and rich. Hope this helps you with your decision. |

Question: | Does the meter fluctuate wildly after each pump? Or is it fairly stable. I have one and the reading seems to fluctuate each time I pump or let out air |
Answer: | Ours never worked. Contacted company and were told to keep it. No offer to replace it. I wouldn’t suggest purchasing it. |
Question: | Will this pump inflate the dropper seatpost as well? Thank you in advance |
Answer: | As long as the reed to fill your shocks is the same size as your tires it will work. |
Question: | Will this work on Presta |
Answer: | Yes it should as long as the valve stem is the same as other Harley Touring models. |
Question: | Does this pump have a "no loss air chuck" so pump reading is corect with no air loss after chuck removal |

Question: | How long is this pump |
Answer: | It isn’t a lot per pump. Hard to estimate, but It is less per pump so you can dial in your air pressure |
Question: | Can the hose be removed and still be operational |
Answer: | If your shock has a Schrader valve and I'm pretty sure that's every shock... don't quote me .,..then yes this will work. |
Question: | Weight with and without the gauge? Does it work without the gauge |
Answer: | Yes it is. If your going to use thhis pump to fill your tires which might have a Presta valve, For a $1.50 you can buy an adapter. This pumps Primary function is to fill your air shocks which is a Schrader valve and not your tires which can have both. |
Question: | Will this pump work with presta ire |

User questions & answers
Question: | Hi, this model has remote locking the handlebars |
Answer: | Ray, 10.5 inches in length, and extends about 6-7". Hope this helps, please let us know if you have any other questions.Thank you |
Question: | Is fit with oversize or standard fork ? I have read the answers and I can see that is not conic, so I want to be sure |
Answer: | The hose does not appear to be designed to be removed while maintaing functionality as far as I can tell. The gauge can be removed and the pump will still be fully operational. I usually keep the gauge in may car, but bring the pump. If cary the pump on your frame make sure to always have the presta adapter on the chuck to minimize the potential for contaminants to get in the shrader chuck. Also check the chuck before use the last thing you want to do is put contaminants inside your shock. I love having this pump on trips it has saved me a couple of times and bailed out more than a few friends who were riding with out a shock pump or blew through all their air cartridges. My only complaint is that it can be hard to switch from high pressure mode to low pressure mode. |
Question: | IS mount or Post Mount |
Answer: | Yes it works without the gauge. I've been very happy with mine |
Question: | Is this a straight steerer or is it tapered? Thanks |
Answer: | Works for presta and schrader valves, for tires and shocks. The main attachment is schrader but it comes with a presta valve adapter. Works very well! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Hi . Work with the monarch Rct3? Replacement the original cap |
Answer: | My upper ear is one inch inside. The lower is 1.25 inch. But that really is not important. Rock Shox sell Mount kits for various bolt sizes and and frame spacings. If you are handy with tools you may be able to adapt your existing hardware. Otherwise I recommended bikeparts.Com . They stock all mounting hardware for this shock. You will a kit for each end unless you can adapt what you have. Good luck, the Monarch R is a great shock. |
Question: | I wonder if this will work on a marzocchi 2006 bomber all mountain. tac |
Answer: | You need to purchase the washers and spacers One for the top and one for the bottom. I think they are like $10 each. |
Question: | Hello, does it works for rockshock xc |
Answer: | It should. Check Giants home page and it should be posted the size shock you should purchase |

Question: | Does it fir a 2000 Stump jumper with 6.5 Fox? And what else do you need to install |
Answer: | You must measure the distance between eye and eye. |
Question: | Will this fit giant mountain bike mach |
Answer: | I set my "sag" setting at 30 or 40 percent and that gives you prpper air psi. I do not have an actuall table i go by |
Question: | Does it fit a 2004 specialized fsr stump jumper |
Answer: | Hey Jonah. For a 2015 Kona Process 153 you will need a 7.875x2.25 shock with 19x8mm hardware on just one end. This kind of stuff can be really tricky to find on Amazon. Feel free to give our shop a call if you need help, we specialize in high end full suspension mountain bikes and sell a lot of RockShox as they make great forks and shocks. - Worldwide Cyclery 805-375-4525 |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will the nozzle fit my TranzX dropper seat post |
Answer: | Not 100% on the SID models (?), But if they have a Schrader valve then this will work. Works on my RockShox fork, and my X-fusion shock. |
Question: | Does this pump come with a mounting bracket |
Answer: | This is a Shock pump. It isn't for tires. It takes a very low volume but high-pressure hand pump like this to reach the psi you need for Shocks. If your husband wants an electric pump he probably wants a tire pump, not a shock pump. A tire pump would be lower pressure but high volume so you can pump it up faster. But honestly, most cyclists prefer to just use a good Floor pump and pump up tires by hand. They are affordable and will last a lifetime, They make it easy to pump a tire up to a very specific psi. electric pumps or air compressors can be tricky, you always pump up a tire to fast and miss your target haha. |

WHAT IS SUSPENSION SAG?
Suspension sag is the amount of suspension travel used when you are sitting on your bike in a natural riding position. This means that when you get on your bike and have your weight distributed like you would when riding, the suspension should be compressed some amount. The reason that we want sag is so the wheels are able to conform to the contour and shape of the ground while riding over rough terrain.
With too much sag, meaning the suspension travel is compressed too much when weighted, the suspension may bottom out too often and the bike's geometry may be out of wack making it harder to corner, jump, etc. With not enough sag, you aren't getting the full benefit of a suspension mountain bike and the bike will struggle to find traction.
HOW TO DIAL IN YOUR SHOCKS FOR A GREAT RIDE
There are two main steps to setting your suspension
1. Setting your sag - the amount of movement in your suspension.
2. Setting your damping - how quickly the fork or shock returns to its resting position after it has compressed.
To set your sag, use your shock pump to adjust the air level in your stanchions so that they sink approximately 25% of their total length when you put all your weight through the bike.If the movement is less than 25% of the stanchion’s length, you need to bleed air from your shocks with the shock pump. If the movement is more than 25%, you need to add air with your shock pump. This process requires a little trial and error and it helps to have a friend assist you.
When you’re happy that your stanchions are moving around 25% down the shock/fork, take a note of the pressure that you have in the stanchion for future reference. You will next need to set your damping by adjusting the rebound knobs on your suspension.
