Answer:	I do not know if you have to worry about rust, it does not look like it would be a factor. The bigger factor is the bearings. Quality outdoor petal bearings are probably sealed better against dust, dirt and water in that environment vs these petals that are designed for indoor. Looking at the petals I do not know if it will be a factor

Answer:	Petals shafts are pretty much standard for ALL bikes, stationary and mountain, cruiser, road or racing, at 1/2 or 9/16 inch threads. I do not know how much you weigh, but if you do not bend regular petals, you shouldn't bend these. Also, since this petal has a strap, you center your foot on the petal reducing the possibly of putting all of you weight on the outside of the petal. I think you should be fine.

Pedal installation sequence

The pedals are divided into a pair of left and right pedals, so they are installed on the left and right of the bicycle respectively. Answer:	They’re the exact same pedals for a lot less. Mine are preforming flawlessly.

Answer:	You can recess the screws if you want, but I did not because I usually wear basketball shoes or running shoes when I am riding my mountain bike. If I get into a situation where the grass or ground is wet, the spikes make sure my feet do not slip off the pedals. I also have a city bike with less agressive plastic spikes. I took the comfort pedals off the city bike and switched them with the original mountain bike pedals, and then these more aggressive pedals on the mountain bike, because especially in the early morning when the grass is wet and I stop to cross a grass medium my feet would get wet and when I put them back on the pedals they may slip. With these there is no slippage.

Answer:	9/16"-20 is the standard for bicycle pedal threads, left hand thread on the left side to prevent backing out under precession. These follow that convention.Old one-piece steel cranks sometimes have 1/2"-20 threads.Most pedals use 15mm open end wrenches to install. These do, and also take a 6mm allen wrench (although the recess looks a little shallow for putting a lot of torque into it, it is still nice for an on-road tightening, if necessary.

Answer:	YES of course! I have clipless on one side and old rat traps or clips on the other side for those days when I am lazy and dont want to change shoes for a quick 10 minuite fast spin.

Answer:	if you roll your foot from front to rear, the PLATFORM is up. If you push/drag your foot from rear to front, you get the CLEAT. So, you get to pick with these. Fresh out of the box, they don't naturally 'drop', but once you get 10-15 miles on them... the 'rear' of the pedal drops so that you get the proper action. If it won't... you need to have them re-lubed, overhauled (e.g. new balls), and the seals inspected. Also, there is a special tool for these to get the bearing pre-load correct. If you do not have the tool (shimano part# for the tool is on the datasheet for these pedals at shimano.com), do not disassemble them--You will not be able to re-assemble them. (if you do disassemble them, try your best to get them back 'together' and head to your LBS, they may preload and tighten them for you, or order the tool for you.)

Answer:	My boyfriend desperately needed to change his bike pedals; so after a little bit of research we decided to go with this ones and he really likes them. The installation process was beyond easy, they look quite nice . His shoes stopped slipping off the pedals so he feels more stable; they are fairly easy to strap in and off while riding and since he bikes to work every single day I have to say they seem very durable.

Answer:	These don’t actually click in to your peloton pedals you replace the whole pedal instead. Very quick and easy to do all you need a is the wrench that came with your bike.

The diameter of the 9/16 pedal is approximately 14.3 mm (0.563 inches), you can compare this pedal based on the measurement results, and then you can draw a conclusion: whether the pedal is suitable for your bicycle.

Installation sequence

Please pay attention to the (R) and (L) marks on the two pedal spindles before installation. (R) is the right pedal of the bicycle, (L) is the left pedal of the bicycle. Wipe some lubricating oil before installation to make the installation smoother.
