Answer:	For that height, which is similar to our daughter's, there 14' is the size to grow into. A 16" is Too big and she won't be able to handle it, just go to any Academy with her and try (that's all they sell). This 14" has been a perfect bike for our "little daughter (40" - 5 Years old), the seat goes way down and we feel she'll get a few years out of it. The bike is sturdy, and quite frankly she can go a little fast but we don't worry too much with it's handling. Hope this helps. The only other place I found 14" bikes was Toys r Us and the reviews were not good, so we are pleased!

Answer:	I gave the Strider as a gift to my 3 year old grandchild. However, the bicycle comes with a brochure showing the seat height range is: 11 - 16 in. This is measured using the XL seat post. The handle bar height range is: 18 - 22 in.

What is Schwinn SmartStart? It is a complete redesign of bike geometry to better match a child's body type to create a more comfortable, ideal riding position. This includes a lighter bike frame for added control, smaller grip diameters to match smaller hands, and a more narrow pedal position to match children's smaller hips.
