Answer:	Size medium is about 34" in waist - a little bigger than is typical. Size small is about 31". There is a drawcord inside to help snug the waist a bit if necessary, and belt loops.

Answer:	Tough call; I have a 28-29" inseam and they reach mid-calf. Perfect for my purposes. The drawstring is a good feature, and they can help them from riding up. In addition, they have spandex, which in conjunction with the drawstrings might do the trick. I can say that the quality is very good. I used them for hiking and walking distances and they worked beautifully.
