Also, (sorry Zonkie) if you have a child that is a little bit rough on bikes, these are not for you. I already had a similar set and they broke immediately. So I bought these because they"look" durable. Nope! They were the same exact pedals. I ended up returning them and taking my child's bike to the local bicycle store and, 20 min. 15$ later. Answer:	Depends upon if your 70’s Raleigh has a Quick Release axle. The bike stand includes a replacement QR axle (can be installed easily) appropriate for the stand. My 2017 Specialized Allez fit better with their axle vs, my bikes original equipment. Good luck.
