Question:	How do you remove the product if it's the wrong color
Answer:	I used a leather cleaning wipe as soon as I saw it wasn’t a match, and before it really dried. It removed pretty much all and what little remained was covered by my next try at color matching. An earlier attempt that was already dry came off with a little pressure and rubbing alcohol but I tested in a hidden area first to be sure the alcohol didn’t damage the leather. I wiped with water immediately. It kind of rolls off once you use the alcohol so I gently scraped the leather to remove the rest. Color matching was tricky. It took several tries adding different colors together to get what matched the best. Try it first on an area that can’t be seen and let it dry to avoid having to remove it many times from a noticeable area.

Answer:	Not sure how it will work on leather but I bought the Black Leather and Vinyl Repair kit and it worked exceptionally well on my faux leather recliner. Question:	how hot should the tip be I tried the iron but it wasn't hot enough than I used my stove andit fried the vinyl thanks jim
Answer:	The heat transfer tool is garbage. Every single time I've heated up it wouldn't work. I ended up using a curling iron and a glue gun. I took the glue out and just used the tip.
Question:	I have to mix a custom color, does my mix need to be a little lighter or darker than the leather to match when it cures
Answer:	It tends to dry a bit lighter than the original color or it did on mine. It also will look a bit "shiny" for a couple of days. It took awhile to dry and "cure"... but after several days, it has settled in and looks pretty good. I had a hard time getting it hot enough to seal. It took several times going over it trying to get it to seal well also.

Answer:	They have adhesive in the kit but for minor scuff abrasion type of tears on just the top surface that I had, I did not use it and it seems to have worked very well on my motorcycle backrest. My tear was only 1/8 x 1/2 of the top leather leaving the white under fabric still in tact. I had a quote for having this professionally repaired at $80 range, and for under $15 for this 3M kit, was a simple gamble to me. Was satisfied with results. Hope that feedback is helpful. Answer:	Yes, Mix2Match VinylFix is a great solution on Vinyl baseboards for very deep scratches, chips, and cracks where the filler can be applied.

Answer:	IMO, no, that is a huge gouge - almost the size of a subway tile. I used this to repair a small knife cut in the floor and it worked well for that. I also used it on a 1" by 1/2" wide tear and while it made it less noticeable, the defect was too large to work well.

Answer:	Not sure. I think it was more of an off-white. But I don't have it anymore.

Answer:	I think this stuff needs support around it, although I never tried to do what you want to do. Like a dentist filling would not stand up if it didn't fit in the drilled out cavity. You may need something like an epoxy patch. Just a good guess. I used it to fill a crack.

Question:	Anyone know how much comes in the kit
Answer:	Yes it will. Yes ago the package came with a piece of cut vinyl that was "glued" together. I have used this for years. They make a kit with several colors for matching. Plus a heat tool and paper embossed with patterns to match. There are two types. Fast setting and slow setting. This remains fairly pliable but it turns yellow. Buy the super clear 81786 if concerned about the color. I have a vinyl boat I repaired about 20 years ago. The "weld" is still pliable and holding. I glued tears up to 3' long and through one valve. The valve still works just fine. The guy who said no never tried it. The kit says leather/vinyl repair. After matching the color and using the embossed paper you might not see the hole at all.
Question:	Will it work on a PVC raft
Answer:	I haven't used the product for that but I think it would. Leet it dry completely before inflating. Give it a try.
Question:	I have a inflatable kayak does this work on pvc tear as well
Answer:	I can't accurately say. I can tell you that I had some rips and tears in my leather seats of my car and. It worked great. It has a shiny look to it but it seals the tears by welding them together.I think it would be worth a try because it is quality.
Question:	will this work on boat upholstery
Answer:	It takes approx. 15 min. But the longer it sets the stronger it gets. And it will depend on the situation. A car seat cushion should leave for 1 to 2 hours. Something with no pressure applied can be fixed in 30 min. The cushion in a restaurant should sit overnight. Do not apply in sunlight or high heat. Once it is fully set it is very strong.
