Answer:	The filter is quite long. I put 6 oz. of water in the pot and the water came up about 3/4 inch. I would think this would limit the ability of the tea leaves expand. I tried 8 oz. and it was a bit better. The amount of tea leaves would determine how much water you would use. Ideally, this little pot would brew 1.5 to 2 cups of tea.
