As a practical matter, I've found that these Park patch kits are a single use item.I'm a verified purchaser of this Park VP-1 patch kit. As I suggest in my review, you can buy good quality Kenda inner tubes for about $5.75 each, shipped. I now carry a new inner tube in my panniers and would install that instead of patching. However, I also carry a replacement Park patch kit for the unlikely event of having two or more flats in one day. That event is so unlikely that I prefer to carry the small, light Park patch kit instead of a second new inner tube. The cement tube in the Park kit will remain fluid for many years as long as it is kept sealed and unused. |

(newer sealed units are not serviceable easily but can be) Wheel hub bearings. Thin film on QR skewers, through axles or threaded axles for the axle nuts. Pedal threads need a bit to keep em from galvanic corrosion. Seat post bolts, rack and fender bolts. Caliper brake posts, BUT KEEP AWAY from disk brake calipers, and rotors. Thin film on zinc or stainless inner wire of brake cables can help some but not all issues. If the cable is prone to pool water and rust... Chain needs oil, not grease. I use Liquifix Bike™ for chain and pivot points of derailleurs and clip less pedal springs, and normal inner cable lube. It's a partial list for you and maybe a bit sloppy, but gets the idea across I hope.
