User questions & answers
Question: | does this basket allow you to still use a headlight (does it drop down far enough for it?) wald 133 front bike basket (14.5 x 9.5 x |
Answer: | It's all included. It's a great basket at a pretty low price :) |
Question: | Do I have to buy a separate "holder" to attach the basket to the bike or is all hardware for attaching included in this purchase |
Answer: | I don't think so.The basket is not big and your bike frame painting will not like. Also, so much weight on the bar is not recommended because you loose handling and can fall more easily.I ride a lot with weight on the front wheel, I'm postman in France and I needed training to find a good balance. |
Question: | Can it fit a 15lb dog |
Answer: | No. I thought it would be perfect for a baby dall. |
Question: | Has anyone ever tried to carry a basketball |
Answer: | I don’t see why not. The idea behind the trekking poles is to save weight and use an item you are likely already carrying but as long as the height is adjustable a tent pole should work. Make sure they are sturdy as you will need to a decent amount of tension on them. |
Question: | Could i use aluminum tent poles instead of Trekking poles |
Answer: | I was very worried about that myself. Those were exactly my thoughts. I decided to lower the back side about a quarter- to half inch lower than the front, and I played around with the rain fly a bit to pull it a little further over the back and pulled the guy lines a bit tighter. No rain got in at all. We had decent winds, but no powerful gusts that night. I didn’t sleep in it, but the next morning, the tent was dry. I have a trip in March, and I will update my review when I spend time in it. |
Question: | How does this hold up in rain? The rainfly on the lower end looks problematic |
Answer: | The tent material is a waterproof PU coated polyester. Spraying the tent with a waterproofing spray can extend the life of the tent, and is a good precaution before a long backpacking trip, but it is not necessary. The rain fly may flap in the wind but the tent is sturdy. |
Question: | Is this waterproof or do I need to use waterproofing spray and can it handle decent winds |
Answer: | Individual stakes weigh 0.4oz (12 grams) each. All eight stakes together weigh 3.4oz (96 grams). |
Question: | How much do just the tent stakes weigh by themselves? (I need exact grams/ounces. If you don't know, please don't reply |
Answer: | It has an interior zip screen door and an exterior solid door on one end |

Question: | Will it work on a beach cruiser? I have an Electra. I would measure the bike but it is an hour away and will not be there until need basket |
Answer: | Most hard drives are pretty universal for laptops. You'll need to unscrew the bottom of your laptop. Look for a 4-6 screw plate. Also google the hard drive model and your HP model & search "compatibility". Hope that helps :) |
Question: | Is a front or rear basket best for stability, not causing falls |
Answer: | I doubt it, please read the specs |
Question: | what is the weight limit. Can I put a 16lb dog in this |
Answer: | Dear customer,This item does not come with cables. |
Question: | Does anyone know the dimensions of this basket |
Answer: | Apple doesn't use proprietary connections internally that I know of. If the drive is an exact match for the part number then it will work correctly. You do need to set it up properly ( format, install O/S etc. ) but physically it will work. |

Question: | Will this basket fit a 29er? In particular, are the vertical braces long enough |
Answer: | Hard drives mainly come in 2.5" slots and 3.5" slots. This one fits 3.5". Since yours is for a desktop, it's probably 3.5" as well, in which case they should swap without issue. Without a link to the original I can't be sure what size it uses, so I would suggest measuring your current hard drive to be sure. |
Question: | How many mounting holes are there, one or four? Based on customer pictures and reviews I'm getting mixed messages |
Answer: | Hitachi hard drives are owned by Western digital.. You would contact them |
Question: | I am mounting to a Nitto rack. Can the handlebar clamps be removed |
Answer: | I have purchaced 2 from this. One is a HUS724040ALE640 and the other a HUS726040ALA614. None of these would be HDN. ... Models beginning with HDN would be Deckstar home desktop hard drives. These are Ultrastar enterprise level hard drives. |

WALD
Wald bicycle baskets, racks, and fenders provide simple solutions to a complex global problem and can help you make the world a better place. Installing a bicycle basket allows you to bring home gallons of milk instead of burning through tanks of gas and drums of oil.
Wald strives to make products the majority of cyclists can use on their bicycles and become more functional at the same time. The biggest challenge we face in this effort is the lack of a universal standard. Bikes from various manufacturers may look the same, but the moment you pull out a tape measure it quickly becomes apparent that all bicycles are not created equal. While we believe our products can be installed by almost anyone, we recommend you have your local bike shop install your product at the time of purchase.
- Mounts at rear of bicycle
- Offers a wired platform extending over the rear wheel for additional cargo capacity
- Twin baskets on each side of rear wheel
- Chrome or gloss black available
- Baskets are 7 1/4 side to side x 18 inches front to back and 11 inches deep. Baskets taper to 5 inches x 16 inches at the bottom. Rack is 5 inches x 16 inches long
User questions & answers
Question: | Is the steel coated or metalized in any way? I live in a marine envorionment and would not want it to rust |
Answer: | Thank you for your support! You must be reading our mind :) as we are currently looking into the design of a semi retractable canopy that will fit securely onto a standard 16qt or 24qt crate. We expect this canopy accessory to be available to our customers by next year (2021). Connect with us at CrateMatePets -fb |
Question: | What is the carrying capacity? What was the heaviest load you carried |
Answer: | Hi Schnauzer Mom, Thank you so much for your inquiry! We’ve seen lots of customers get creative with this (attaching to moped, 4-wheeler, scooter etc.) because CrateMate could ultimately fit on any type of provided rack. Assuming the mobility scooter does have a luggage rack either currently on the front or back this will provide the safest way to attach your specified crate to said scooter. If not, maybe see if said scooter has available accessories/rack for the specified model. From what I can gather through my research is that a lot of these types of scooters already have baskets attached to them. In this case, it’s important to note that unless the attached basket(s) measures 12x12x12 or 12x12x18 it won’t fit into the existing basket. CrateMate is specifically designed to retro-fit either a 16qt or 24qt standard milk crate. If you can see a way on your specified model of scooter to safely attach one of these sized crates (luggage rack etc.) then yes you can certainly use this product with your Schnauzer. We would love to see pictures if you can make this work! Again, thank you so much for reaching out to us. Please be safe and have a beautiful day :) -Nicholas with CrateMate |
Question: | How to install |
Answer: | Hi there! Any front bike rack that can support your pets weight as well as and most importantly one to fit to your specified bike in question. Be sure to check the load capacity for your rack in question. I will add, if you attach your specified crate to the front rack it would need to be the 16qt (square) crate as the 24qt will extend too far off the front end. Please be extra careful riding with your furriend in front as even the slightest shift in weight can cause and unstable and unsafe riding experience for both you and your pet. We do recommend a rear riding experience for your pet as they will be more comfortable know where you are and it will ultimately be easier for you to ride. If you do choose to attach your crate to a front rack and install the CrateMate conversion we would love to see it! |
Question: | Which dimension is which? I see that 7.5" is the width of each basket, but is 18" the depth or height dimension |
Answer: | I’m sorry but we don’t have this anymore but we don’t see why not since it connects to the rear hub. |

Question: | Does this come with 2 baskets or do you need to purchase quantity 2 in order to have both baskets |
Answer: | It is very slight! |
Question: | Can you use one on top of the back rack, or is it designed to fit on the side of the rack? Pictures with bikes would be gr |
Answer: | The size of the charging port is 6x12 mm. |
Question: | What are the dimensions when fully open |
Answer: | All three color you mentioned have the same transparent effect. However, please know that there is a micro dot pattern for this case, which is designed to prevent the case from clinging to the phone unevenly. |
Question: | What is the weight limit |
Answer: | Yes it is protected. Been using this type of case for last three generations and they provide good protection. The case is solid above camera over top edge of phone. Thus has adequate protection of the edge's if dropped! |
Question: | Does it come with bracket to install to bike rack |
Answer: | It is neither plywood nor plastic, but rather the same material as the sides and top which is a nice woven, canvas-like material. There is support from the bars (structure) of the unit. I carry two small Maltese dogs weighing 20 lbs. and 10 lbs. respectively. I have had this Aosom Elite II for several years now and it has held up nicely. I even keep it outside (in Florida) and it has minimal wear and tear from the elements. It's one of the best things I've ever purchased for my small dogs. |
Question: | Can my ten pound dog fit in it |
Answer: | They are rubber tires, like bicycle tires. You will need to add air to them sometimes, but otherwise I've not had any issues at all with the tires. We have used our stroller for over a year now, about 3-4 times/week with a 80 lb lab in it. I will say that we do keep our stroller inside to prevent rust or other weather-related issues. |
Question: | Since the basket is slanted on its sides, what is the measurement of the length at the bottom of the basket? TIA |
Answer: | They are inflatable |
Question: | dimensions |
Answer: | Have not used it as a stroller, but under general maneuvering there seems to be no problem. |
