User questions & answers
Question: | how thick can the glasses temple (side) piece be |
Answer: | It handles 1/8" (slightly more than 2 millimeters) fine. You can do any thickness by taping the mirror to the glasses, reserving these glasses for bicycle use. |
Question: | I use rearview mirrors for social distancing. Can these be clipped to face shields |
Answer: | Interesting idea, I tried it on several industrial type shields and it would clip on to the transparent plastic shield. The good news ends there. The mirror is designed to be on your glasses. It is close to your face thus what is behind you is large enough to discern details behind you. The plastic shield is too far from your eye to be useful and too far to the side to view . A medical shield may be smaller but will probably suffer from the same problems. Nice idea though. If you ride a bike it is very useful. |
Question: | can this mirror be clipped to a baseball cap? (not glasses or helmet |
Answer: | Brad, yes the Third Eye Mirror is easy to attach and can slide onto a baseball cap. You can find our selection here: http://www.cyclocamping.com/search.aspI have also included a video for your review in regards to how you could clip the mirror on your cap: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Op5lJp5gOoLori HCustomer Service, CycloCamping.com |
Question: | I'm thinking that with ultra light thin frames, these will not stay put and be constantly falling. Am I right |
Answer: | I think the only glasses these might not work on would be ones with a round "arm" as they could rotate, but these work with every pair of glasses I own - from thin frames to more heavy duty sunglasses. |

User questions & answers
Question: | what diameter bars does this fit? I am looking to install on chinese scooter |
Answer: | Not sure what the diameter is. It does come with sizers that would fit a variety of handlebars. I am guessing there should be something that would work for a scooter. |
Question: | how do ya install this bar end mirror |
Answer: | In my case my bicycle handlebars have a hole at the end which was covered by a thick plastic. What I did was to pierced that plastic and stuck inside the bar of the mirror and adjusted it with its screw. I hope my explanation is clear since English is not my native language. Good luck! |
Question: | does it work on straight handlebars with additional bar extension |
Answer: | It will work if your bar ends clamp onto the handlebar. As long as you can insert the mirror into the hole in the handlebar, it will work. If your bar ends insert into the hole into the handlebar, then this mirror will not fit as the mirror needs to insert into the hole at in the handlebar. |
Question: | The answer to the question of "is the mirror convex?" is no but in the description it says that it is built to be so. is it or is it not |
Answer: | It is Convex ! I hate convex mirrors but this one has a slight convex to it. For the flatlanders, take a straightedge and lay it on the mirror. Then you can see the curve. This not the same as cheap convex mirrors. So you could say it is both. Flat enough to be considered flat and convex enough to be considered convex. |
