Answer:	It took my wife and I less then 1/2 hour to set it but longer to get it finally done maybe 15 minutes.

Answer:	I compared specs on the Coleman website. The only difference is floor vents for ventilation, auto-roll windows, and led lighting. They are the same height in the center by the way, 6ft 2in.

Answer:	Hi, To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. We put it up in the back yard to test as is, and it could not handle light rain. We have another Coleman with a steeper slope, and so the water flows off the rain-fly before it can wick through the material (It stood up to a downpour last night). Any of these tents where you have a flat rain-fly above a screen, I believe you will have this problem. I suppose you could spray the entire rainfly with the waterproofing spray recommended for the seams? I'm not sure how much this would cost though.We are likely to go for the Coleman Evanston 8 (non-screen porch version). The only part of the rainfly that is flat is the front overhang above the ground. There is a good 3-star review under the Coleman Evanston 8 by Jeff042479 which describes the waterproofing process for these Coleman tents.Hope that helps. Good luck.

Answer:	I have this tent and can verify that it works well in Montana (where I live). I have never camped in Ohio but if you make sure the door is facing north towards MT, you should be fine. 😉

Question:	Does this tent have (and can you describe) an electric cord entrance
Answer:	Im not sure I understand the question but I will try to answer it anyway. The tent has a channel(fabric) that runs from the door switch to the light in the top middle of the tent. It also has a channel that goes down the back of the tent that has the cord that goes to the battery.

Answer:	I think it would fit 4 small cots around the edges and still be able to walk in the center. Base is 14x10 so measure your cots to know for sure. I had a huge cot, table, large ice chest and food and clothing bins for 30 days of geologic field work and there was room left over. Tent worked out great and stood up to abusive wind and rain.
Question:	Can one person set this up easily? Or must it take two
Answer:	I would have to say that it is much easier with 2 people, but I have set it up by myself. It takes about 10 minutes to set up with 2 people and it took 30 minutes by myself.

Answer:	According to the description, the 17x9 dimension is for the tent sleeping area, which would not include the porch. It says that the screened porch is additional, which would mean that it is not included in the 17 x 9 dimension given

Answer:	The first time it took about 30 stressful minutes. I did it by myself so it would take a lot less time with 2 people. I can now set it up by myself in about 10 minutes. It's super easy. Make sure you follow the instructions as they are color coded. It's a great tent especially the door. The only negative is the screened in area is kinda small and does not have a floor. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.
Question:	Does it come with everything you need to set it up or do I need to purchase other items
Answer:	Yes, it comes with everything you need to set it up. The only thing I would suggest is to buy some seam sealer and go around the seams to prevent water leaks. But it includes the rainfly, stakes, directions, etc. I love our tent, I hope you do too!

Answer:	If you don't expand the bag, the tent packed inside the bag is 47" x 10" x 9"

Answer:	If you were to keep the zipper windows closed you would have a sauna. The tent is not torrential rain proof, but it is waterproof and that goes for inside as well as out.

Answer:	The tent has an integrated rain fly. There's a video on the Coleman site that shows it performing. For me though, I'd buy the optional rain fly accessory for added protection and ventilation.

Question:	I bought this tent and the top bars (about three) won't extend. We've tried our hardest. Anyone else have this difficulty
Answer:	I had this problem with one of the bars. I discovered that somehow the leg end of the bar had gotten turned upside down. One side of the top bar and one side of the leg bar (bar that extends out and is connected to the downward leg) are flat. Make sure that the flat side of the leg bar is facing down toward the tent roof. My leg bar had somehow become inverted and was impossible to pull out. In other words the flat side was facing up and the push button that locks the leg in place was facing down. We disconnected the clips on the tent and rotated the leg bar so that it's flat side and the top bar flat side matched and this resolved the issue completely.
Question:	Actual Dimensions of tent when IN THE BAG, the 14x10 bag please... I am trying to determine if we can fit the14x10 in the trunk of my car
Answer:	I actually measured it, in the bag, as 52" x 13" x 12". It's a bit heavy, so allow some extra room to manoeveur!

Answer:	No, there shouldn't be an issue. It's a zipper that connects them to each other with layers to prevent leaks. Each tent has a pole that's inserted to keep it taunt so it doesn't hang loose and prevent you from walking through. You will have to bend over though to go through the tunnel.

Answer:	Hi! The screen room does have a floor- same type of plastic floor as the main portion of the tent. The windows on the inside of the tent have zip up flats, but the screened in portion at the apex of the tent does not. That is covered only by the rain fly.
Question:	With the back being 80% screened, does this make it too cold inside for kids (just in regards to regular cold mountain mornings--not winter camping
Answer:	We went camping in this tent in mid-September at approx 12,000 ft above sea-level in Colorado and yes, not having a permanent cover over the back of the screened portion made it very cold. We ended up having to cover the back screen wall with moving blankets we had in the back of our car. This is just a one season tent for high altitudes, summer.
Question:	If i was going to lay a tarp down first before setting the tent up(so nothing pokes through bottom), how big of a tarp would i need
Answer:	we have a 16x20 ft tarp that we slightly fold over about 2 ft. that gives us about 3 ft in front of the tent as an entrance outside of the screened in area. you definitely need a large tarp for this tent even though it may look ridiculous when you fold it out :)
Question:	I know the whole thing is 14 x 10. What size is the dome? Is it 10x11 like the other Evanston
Answer:	Sleeping area is approximately square - about 10X10. The porch is about 4 ft deep and 10 ft wide on the sleeping area side, but the front porch corners are angled, so the front width of the porch is only about 9 ft.

Answer:	"Hard" is a relative term. It's possible but would be easier with two. Most tents are much easier with two.

Answer:	You need to use a footprint (tarp) and trench around the tent. You should also set the tent up before using it in the field and use seam sealer on it. Follow the directions on the bottle. Some tents even come with a small bottles of it but its not expensive. This advice goes with just about every tent made of nylon.

Answer:	The screen room and the back panel do not have zip up closures, but the two side windows do

Answer:	The 4 person will accommodate 2 cots, but touches the tent on both ends due to the tapering of the tent. The dimensions are measured at floor level. The gear storage bags will hang on top of you while sleeping on the cot and can feel a little claustrophobic at times. I would recommend the 6 person size to comfortably accommodate 2 cots.
Question:	I am 5'6" tall and wondered if I can stand up inside the tent
Answer:	It depends on which tent you're inquiring about. All are included in this Q&A section. 4-person is about 4'11" center height, which is as tall as I am; 6-person is 6' center height.
Question:	How does one keep the screened area from collecting rain water
Answer:	Hello, user of this tent here during a rainy weekend. It doesn't - there's a netting between the main tent floor and the porch area to drain the water, but rainwater ends up pooling on the porch tarp anyways because unless you pitch the porch leaning down on a hill, there's no way to make the water actually flow outward. The only way you'd avoid this is if you poked holes in the porch, or brought along one of those shower mats that have the holes in them. For me, this resulted in an eternal puddle that never ended up drying, and a muddy and filthy porch area after camping. Furthermore, the screened in area isn't...actually screened in. There are two 6 inch gaps on the corners between the tent and porch for passing a cable through that don't have zippers, which means that not only is it not actually insect proof, but you also can't leave the tent door unzipped to get additional ventilation from the porch because the holes will let mosquitos in. The porch area is the exact opposite of a selling point in this scenario...

Well next to being virtually in a new bought state with no discoloration, or time induced damage the tent was virtually dustless .. I can know as I have severe allergies and hayfever. I swear it also rooted the weeds that were growing and sweeped the back porch clean of dust&sand too. exiting the tent I felt like I freshly showered and my clothes were folded too! Answer:	I own this tent. I’ve used it once. I’m assuming it is water resistant. I don’t recommend this rent. A huge wind storm blew up. The rain fly doesn’t have any vents. The tent was bending over. I was worried that the poles would break so I had to collapse it down. I spent the rest of the night in my vehicle Waiting for near by store to open so I could buy a different tent. I’ve owned several tents over the years and camp several times a year. Until vents are added to rain fly I wouldn’t recommend.

Answer:	This tent isn't available anywhere in the US. I have been searching for this tent for months. I don't believe they offered it in the US. The only alternative is the same tent for around $280 from Walmart in the full fly non blackout material. The only other glamping option is the coleman skydome in blackout but it's nowhere near the same as the octagon yurt style. Coleman really screwed up here because there is a ton of stock in the UK which nobody is buying but nothing available in the states.
