Answer:	According to the description, the 17x9 dimension is for the tent sleeping area, which would not include the porch. It says that the screened porch is additional, which would mean that it is not included in the 17 x 9 dimension given

Answer:	The first time it took about 30 stressful minutes. I did it by myself so it would take a lot less time with 2 people. I can now set it up by myself in about 10 minutes. It's super easy. Make sure you follow the instructions as they are color coded. It's a great tent especially the door. The only negative is the screened in area is kinda small and does not have a floor. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.
Question:	Does it come with everything you need to set it up or do I need to purchase other items
Answer:	Yes, it comes with everything you need to set it up. The only thing I would suggest is to buy some seam sealer and go around the seams to prevent water leaks. But it includes the rainfly, stakes, directions, etc. I love our tent, I hope you do too!

Answer:	Yes, very waterproof. My husband used it to go deer hunting in a downpour, so it was a good test of the waterproofing. He discovered it is a summer tent, with great ventilation, which he didn't want in a winter storm. It was barely large enough for him or two smaller children. It sets up easily too.

Answer:	I live in an arid region in the Caribbean and I ordered this tent in 2016, 4 years ago. I just opened it again last night for the first time in years and set it up in my lockdown back garden which is on the ground (more like sand here on the equator) to have a spontaneous outside camping night. Well next to being virtually in a new bought state with no discoloration, or time induced damage the tent was virtually dustless .. I can know as I have severe allergies and hayfever. I swear it also rooted the weeds that were growing and sweeped the back porch clean of dust&sand too. exiting the tent I felt like I freshly showered and my clothes were folded too! Highly recommended

Answer:	Honestly not sure on the warranty but as of now, it has outlasted any of my Coleman or ozark trails tents. We go camping a lot and I mean a lot and we have spent at least a half dozen good size storms in this tent with no water leaking in anywhere. My last tent was a Coleman and by the end of that summer,it was leaking in around the seems and would have water standing in the corners. I have a friend who also has this same tent and has no complaints with it.

Answer:	From one camper to another. It is already waterproof. We took the tent camping and had a downpour and we stayed dry. I would save waterproof sprays for after years of use and if you see a leak. Just FYI do not spray any bug repellent on the tent or near it. That stuff will eat away the frabric and the waterproof integrity. Just one campers advice to another.

Answer:	It took my wife and I less then 1/2 hour to set it but longer to get it finally done maybe 15 minutes.

Answer:	I compared specs on the Coleman website. The only difference is floor vents for ventilation, auto-roll windows, and led lighting. They are the same height in the center by the way, 6ft 2in.
Question:	Since the main gripe has to do with weatherproofing on this tent...is there a way to prep the rain fly to keep it dry inside
Answer:	Hi, To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. We put it up in the back yard to test as is, and it could not handle light rain. We have another Coleman with a steeper slope, and so the water flows off the rain-fly before it can wick through the material (It stood up to a downpour last night). Any of these tents where you have a flat rain-fly above a screen, I believe you will have this problem. I suppose you could spray the entire rainfly with the waterproofing spray recommended for the seams? I'm not sure how much this would cost though.We are likely to go for the Coleman Evanston 8 (non-screen porch version). The only part of the rainfly that is flat is the front overhang above the ground. There is a good 3-star review under the Coleman Evanston 8 by Jeff042479 which describes the waterproofing process for these Coleman tents.Hope that helps. Good luck.

Answer:	I have this tent and can verify that it works well in Montana (where I live). I have never camped in Ohio but if you make sure the door is facing north towards MT, you should be fine. 😉

Answer:	I have 10x10 slanted legs canopy, the tent is way too big for 10x10. It probably fit for 11x11 canopy and I doubt it if that size exists

Answer:	I bought the Magnetic Screen House as a Christmas gift for my archeology majoring college student to use as a cover while out in the field on his digs and camping trips. How to set up:

1. Layout the body of the tent on the ground without rocks or stick. Place the tent door facing your desired direction.
2. Stake 4-corners of the tent on the ground first. Assemble the tent poles.
3. Put the tent poles to the body of the tent through the sleeves. Connect poles to the tent with the pins of the grommets.
4. Put the rain fly on top of the tent.
5. Stake the guy lines with the loops.

Question:	Does the screened in portion of the tent have zip up flaps in case it rains? It is hard to tell in the pictures. Does the screen room have a floor
Answer:	Hi! The screen room does have a floor- same type of plastic floor as the main portion of the tent. The windows on the inside of the tent have zip up flats, but the screened in portion at the apex of the tent does not. That is covered only by the rain fly.
Question:	With the back being 80% screened, does this make it too cold inside for kids (just in regards to regular cold mountain mornings--not winter camping
Answer:	We went camping in this tent in mid-September at approx 12,000 ft above sea-level in Colorado and yes, not having a permanent cover over the back of the screened portion made it very cold. We ended up having to cover the back screen wall with moving blankets we had in the back of our car. This is just a one season tent for high altitudes, summer.
Question:	If i was going to lay a tarp down first before setting the tent up(so nothing pokes through bottom), how big of a tarp would i need
Answer:	we have a 16x20 ft tarp that we slightly fold over about 2 ft. that gives us about 3 ft in front of the tent as an entrance outside of the screened in area. you definitely need a large tarp for this tent even though it may look ridiculous when you fold it out :)
Question:	I know the whole thing is 14 x 10. What size is the dome? Is it 10x11 like the other Evanston
Answer:	Sleeping area is approximately square - about 10X10. The porch is about 4 ft deep and 10 ft wide on the sleeping area side, but the front porch corners are angled, so the front width of the porch is only about 9 ft.

Question:	how big is it when packed up in the bag
Answer:	If you don't expand the bag, the tent packed inside the bag is 47" x 10" x 9"
Question:	It's not waterproof ok, what about dust in a desert environment? would the inside be full of dust after a week
Answer:	If you were to keep the zipper windows closed you would have a sauna. The tent is not torrential rain proof, but it is waterproof and that goes for inside as well as out.
Question:	When did Coleman start selling tents without rain fly's
Answer:	The tent has an integrated rain fly. There's a video on the Coleman site that shows it performing. For me though, I'd buy the optional rain fly accessory for added protection and ventilation.
Question:	can this be set up inside
Answer:	This has been the best tent ever!!! As long as you have the space to set it up in it can go anywhere you want it too. My Boyfriend and I have been camping for over 20 years and this is the best tent we have ever had :)

Question:	What is the weight of this tent
Answer:	In the bag, with stakes, poles, and all, I would put it at about 15 pounds. The tent by itself, no more than 7 pounds. It is very light weight for how sturdy it is.
Question:	How tall is this tent on the whole area? Can you stand up and walk freely
Answer:	I am not sure of the exact dimensions, but my husband is 6’3” and he can walk around without any problem. I am 5’6 and I cannot reach the ceiling of the tent to hang the lamp without a stool. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Yes. It’s the screen just like the windows except it’s white. the rain fly goes over it. We have only used the tent once so far but we like it
