Answer:	Being a beginner student model, it is made out of ABS Resin plastic. Most wooden construction is for professional quality instruments as the hardwoods used are very expensive. We have been happy with this model for our young clarinetist.

It is also a lot cheaper than a Yamaha, but I cannot really tell the difference between a Yamaha and this clarinet. Also, being very small for my age, I still was comfortable reaching all the keys and I think your nine year old will be comfortable playing too. Answer:	We have had no problems with ours. If we did, I would use "contact seller" I did this with a watch and that seller offered our choice of refund or replacement. Maybe that will work with this seller. I hope this helps.

Answer:	Ebonite is not plastic or wood. It is hard rubber which many professionals use because of its' excellent tonal properties. It doesn't crack or bend like the wooden clarinets sometimes do. My father played clarinet and sax for many years in various bands. He had an ebonite clarinet and he always liked it. They are much easier to care for than a wooden clarinet. I have three clarinets--two ebonites and one grenadite--I prefer the ebonite. I believe all the mouthpieces for sax and clarinet are made of ebonite. This clarinet is incredible for the price!!! You can't go wrong with this.

Answer:	Dear Madam/Sir, I do not believe this is considered an E11 clarinet. Sadly, I had to return this instrument because it was unplayable. The tone holes were inaccurate. The overall feel of the instrument was off. I could not play this clarinet in the lower register. Albeit, I am a woodwind teacher with over 20 years of experience. I can not recommend this clarinet.

The Yamaha model 255, 250 200-Advantage or Model 20. are excellent. There are many other models: Selmer has an entire line of clarinets. Buffet are excellent. These clarinet have a decent sound and are very very durable and more affordabke. You do not have to worry about them cracking due to moisture. The wooden clarinets are made with an African wood called grenadilla wood. These are quality instruments that require a great deal of care. Answer:	The Eb clarinet only came with one barrel. I had to buy a 40mm barrel on eBay to be more in tune. The one it came with required me to significantly pull out the barrel.

I do not believe Eb would make a good beginner's instrument, they are harder to play than a Bb. I hope to have some fun with it so. Thought it would be great for practicing when traveling. I believe it is a good little instrument and will give me years of service if care for.

"Ebonite wood" is a contradiction in terms and it's misleading. Some of these Chinese instruments are made of real ebonite and they sound really good. They give it a sanded texture to make it look wood-like. It looks good, but they should not call it wood.

Answer:	No , this clarinet's case doesn't have a strap, it only has a handle. Sort of like a briefcase handle , but it folds down slim to the case when not in use so it doesn't get in the way. It's very smart and sleek looking. If you wanted to carry it by a strap, I would suggest slipping this immaculate case in another case or bag with a strap on it. This will prevent bumps and marks that often involve strap portage.
