Answer:	I promise - it is THAT GOOD - yes, there is rubber mounting so there is no scratching of your desk (or mine either!). And, to make you feel even better, I just recently decided (as crazy as it sounds) after hanging four monitors and using them for several months - to rearrange them. The original placement had the main monitor I was using placed so my head was always turned and looking up and to the right (something you might want to consider when hanging yours). Therefore, I rearranged ALL FOUR (stupie!) - but I STILL have no scratches, the brute of a mount still is holding, and I'm EVEN HAPPIER with it than I was before (if that can be possible!)Still can't say enough about this thing - it's awesome! Wish I had come up with the idea, because I'd love to be raking in the royalties!Note: After reading the other answers - let me point out - my desk did not have enough of an overhang on the back (which sits up against a wall) to locate the mount. Answer:	The problem with 24" monitors is that you won't be able to move them forward much, since doing so pushes the mounts toward the center post, reducing the available space for monitors. However, I only have four 21" monitors, so I can't verify how much you can actually move them forward.

Answer:	Yes, the arms are independent of each other, but you'll have to figure out the heights. I have dual 27's on the bottom and dual 24's on the top. However, given their sizes, I couldn't stack them vertically as I'm near the max with all of them horizontally. Check the dimensions first.
