Answer:	as far as I can tell, the toes are not heated. The heating pad is on the bottom of each sock, which covers about 50-60% of the surface area of the bottom of the sock. It is positioned further forward on the socks, but does not cover the toes.

I know this by the hot-foot I’ve gotten by accidentally hitting the button while still at room temperature inside a vehicle. The heat comes quickly, and faster when the selected heat level is higher.
