Answer:	Right; I was hoping it was going to come with the CPX-6 rechargeable pack, but it doesn't. It only comes with the "pack" into which you can load four "D" batteries. If you want to use the CPX-6 rechargeable pack, you need to buy one separately. That said, I really do like the fact that the rechargeable pack will fit in any CPX-6 Coleman product. For example, I also have the Table Lamp, and so I can snap the CPX-6 rechargeable pack into either that or this lantern, depending on the kind of light I desire. I haven't had either one long enough to be able to tell you how long the rechargeable pack keeps it lit versus using 4 fresh alkaline batteries.

Question:	How big is it
Answer:	It's about 7 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. Fits in my jacket pocket quite nicely. It is fairly bright for it's size. Great lantern.
Question:	How does it convert to a flashlight? Is it easy to hold in flashlight mode
Answer:	The flashlight mode is a back cover which directs the light forward instead of in all directions. Not really an effective typical flashlight. That being said, it is very bright, nice size and illuminates the inside of a tent very well.
Question:	one reviwer says it runs on aaa btts. I think it must be aa.. which s it please
Answer:	AA.. Three of 'em.
Question:	Is this sturdy enough to take backpacking? Some reviewers say theirs arrived broken
Answer:	Mine arrived fine. I use mine in my tent all summer. Seems durible to me

Question:	Can I purchase just the battery holder at the bottom. We had to pry it off with difficulty. Don’t want rechargeable
Answer:	Surprisingly far! We bought it to spot whatever our dogs bark at in our back field.
Question:	Coleman: intentionally misleading? This: "powered by rechargeable CPX 6 cartridge or four D cell batteries, you choose (Included)." Not
Answer:	The light is pretty large and has a fat top. Its awkward with the small retractable handle and the heavy top.
Question:	Do you still have any of the old battery holder packs for model
Answer:	No. That and the two charging cables (AC and 12 volt) are sold separately. The spotlight does come with a 4 D-cell battery cassette which snaps into the spotlight.
Question:	Can you purchase bulb for this
Answer:	No plug or cord adaptor, unit uses 4 "D" batteries which totals 6 volts. Optional rechargeable battery,which can be bought and has home & and car units to recharge the battery only, check comments. Great light with a strong distance light beam.

Question:	I want to use it for fishing at night around lakes. Do you think it will produce enough light
Answer:	The gasoline lantern is the best for night fishing . The reason for this is it is brighter than propane or battery. And burns much hotter than even propane which might seem like a disadvantage but insects mostly mosquitos that can plaque night fisherman fly to the light source and are fried by the heat. In my experience even propane does not compare to gasoline lantern in this aspect. Which for any one who has fished much in summer months where mosquitos are a problem knows what I am talking about.
Question:	Can anyone say where these are made
Answer:	Says "China" on the bottom of mine.
Question:	How do I install the 8 batteries? what secures them in the lamp
Answer:	1. With lantern turned off, turn it upside down and unscrew base by rotating counterclockwise. 2. Install 8 batteries in the correct orientation as shown on the battery housing. Be careful that all 8 batteries are installed correctly (be careful about positive and negative battery orientation. There is picture in the directions but you can also check the battery housing. 3. Replace the base by screwing clockwise until hand tight. Check that the base is secure and closed.
Question:	Does it have carrying handles
Answer:	Yes. It has a sturdy handle attached to each side of the top that swings up for carrying, similar to the way a pail handle works. The shape of the handle conforms to the shape of the lantern.
