Answer:	No. It is a locking knife, but not a lockback. "Lockback" means there's a "spring loaded" (torsion bar, actually) locking leaver (rocker bar) located on the spine (back) of the frame which unlocks the blade when pressed. The locking mechanism for this knife is on the side of the frame (it's actually a part of the frame itself), near the pivot (same side as the pocket clip) and must be pulled back to unlock the blade. Since it has no "knob" and does not protrude from the frame, it can be a bit difficult to pull it back (it's very tight). It is very difficult (and not particularly safe) to close this knife with one hand.

Answer:	There are many kinds of stainless steel, as well as surface treatment and playing options. These have varying levels of corrosion resistance, and the environment matters as well. For example, SS430 will eventually gain rust, especially on untreated (e.g sharpened) surfaces. 304 will corrode in chlorinated environments (e.g. saltwater, chlorine). 316 corrodes under heavy alkalines (e.g. Sodium). There will always be something that is corrodes or oxidizes a metal, you just want to avoid metals incompatible with chemistry it may see for your use case. You shouldn't be surprised that your $8 knife may not be made of the most robust material available.

Secure Locking System

Apply manual force to move the lockbar to the side and fold the blade back into the handle.

One-Handed Flipper

Answer:	if the karambit has a narrow enough edge then this could be an ideal way to sharpen a curved blade. But if It looks like if the karambit has a thick blade, then perhaps the sharpener will not let the knife edge down into contact with the sharpening edges. The karambit on Wiki looks too thick to fit into this sharpener.

Answer:	This works great for knives. We're very happy with it. If you're after a professionally sharp edge, nothing can beat a stone. If you just want an excellent, sharp edge, this is fast and almost as good, IMHO.

Answer:	When looking at only one of the blades of your scissors, only one side of that blade has an angled edge on it. This is made for blades with an angle on each side of the blade, like a normal knife. i would assume it would ruin the angle of the blade on the scissors.

Im from the great state of Texas where it is practically mandatory (just kidding) to carry a knife as soon as you can walk - we won't go into handguns...but I believe generally if the blade is under 4 inches it's okay - please check in your state.
