Answer:	I would not use anything big enough to cover the butane cover section as if that butane canister being thinner metal gets to hot it becomes a ticking time bomb. If I remember right I'm thinking they don't recommend anything over 10-11" in diameter in pots to keep from reflecting heat back down over butane cover. If using the 1 lb propane bottles probably not an issue. You could also wrap the rubber hose with some reflective aluminum foil that goes into stove.

Answer:	The bottom is about 1/3", the thickness of the sides are about a 16th of an in., it is stainless & pretty sturdy.I hope that helps.

Answer:	I have only used the steamer for juicing blueberries to make blueberry jelly. From that experience it would not be sufficient for me to use for canning other foods. I'm sure you could cook items for canning in the bottom pot itself if not cooking a large amount at the time. The pot is large enough for doing a 10 min boiling bath on jelly jars if you wanted. Answer:	The black part is made out of plastic, the rest is a thin metal. I have this on my work table so it does get hit with tools often, but has held up so far. The only complaint I have about it is the burner element is not fastened down so it does flop around a bit. Other then that I would say it is good for the price.

Answer:	Absolutely NOT, we honor our warrantee no matter what the brand of induction compatible cookware is used. Keep in mind not all comparable cookware is the same, some have small rings of ferrous metal in the bottom that when used are less efficient and seem to show the burner is much smaller than it actually is. When buying induction cookware try to find some that the whole bottom is ferrous metal (magnet will stick) otherwise what makes induction great just isn't as good. Unfortunately some cheap induction cookware has lead to improper negative reviews. We have a premium product that is UL858 approved (approved for built in), we are held to a higher standard that the tabletop models (UL1026) that are intended to be thrown away when the fail. Big Difference!
