User questions & answers
Question: | Do the side flaps come off or fold outward all the way so that a longer griddle can be used |
Answer: | Yes they fold out, so if its not windy you can have a larger pot pan or griddle, Does the back come off though? the Eureka spires does. |
Question: | Is there an attachment for the hose from a 20 lb propane bottle |
Answer: | It is not included, but you can certainly purchase one. We attach ours to our trailers quick disconnect still using the sm bottle attachment. |
Question: | Will this support the lodge 20" by 10.44 inch griddle without removing the wind flaps |
Answer: | i got it out and measured it. it will take the griddle you present. 3/4 inch space each end of 20 inches with wings up. the 10 inch side has 3/4 in in back and no limit in front. hope this was helpful. |
Question: | I've never purchased a camping stove before and not sure what to expect--in all regards....really... :) But, to be clear, do I need to purchase a hose and/or connector for a propane tank or does that come with the purchase of the stove |
Answer: | You will need a hose to connect to a large propane tank but there is a connector for the small bottles. BTW, this stove is the bomb. When we lost power this past Thanksgiving, EVERYTHING that needed to be cooked on a stovetop we cooked on this stove because the turkey was in the oven and our generator wouldn't support the oven and burners. The stove performed wonderfully! |

About Camp Chef:
Great tasting food will always bring people together and Camp Chef has that figured out. As an industry leading manufacture for more than 20 years, Camp Chef produces high quality products offering efficient ways to cook for almost any outdoor gathering. From social functions to campouts or even dinner on the back patio, Camp Chef can do it all.
In 1990, Camp Chef was established on the idea that there just had to be a better way to cook outdoors. The founder and president of the company, Ty Measom, recognized many campers and sportsman had an interest in outdoor cooking but were struggling with what cooking equipment was available to them. That is when he designed a stove that would meet the needs of the avid outdoorsman.
That simple stove design later became the Pro 60 and evolved to include the most versatile cooking system on the market by incorporating accessories to simplify and diversify any outdoor menu. BBQ boxes, flattop griddles, and pizza ovens now give users the ability to grill, griddle, bake, boil, brew fry, stream, and even cook Dutch oven - all on a single Camp Chef stove.
After being in the campsite for nearly 10 years, Camp Chef began producing quality cast iron cookware with its signature True-Seasoned Finish. Another 10 years later Camp Chef addressed the demand for a versatile outdoor cooking system at home. Today there are several stoves, smokers, fire pits and more, designed specifically with the home and patio in mind. However, the roots of the company are in the great outdoors, continuing to give people the opportunity to experience nature without sacrificing a hearty meal.
Camp Chef is located in the heart of Cache Valley, Utah, surrounded by the beautiful Bear River Mountain Range, a perfect site for product testing. Each product is a result of Camp Chef's dedication to outdoor cooking and its pledge to improve and create new products that fulfill the needs of its highly valued customers.

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the actual hole size for the pipe... I want to use actual stove pipes not that retractable thing it came with |
Answer: | A strong 4-15/16". Thats what mine measures anyway. The pipe it comes with slides down the hole a bit as its crimped. |
Question: | Is this stove a cheap chinese knockoff of the original american made cylinder stove |
Answer: | Absolutely not!!!! I bought this for emergency uses....but used it once to test it out. I was very surprised how heavy it was. I expected some cheap tin like box......but it is very heavy and solid. The legs could be a little more stable but with some tinkering I know I could sturdy them up a little. |
Question: | at the very bottom and front, how far apart are the feet of the legs? going to get a drip pan and need to know how large it needs to be |
Answer: | Here's a thought....why not put patio blocks under the entire stove !That way, you can make sure the area around the outside of the legs is protected also !! |
Question: | Does this unit burn clean....no smoke. Could it be used in small home ? Any safety concerns |
Answer: | I put mine in the fireplace, cut the legs off to be about 3" long and got some articulating 4" stove-pipe angles to get the smoke up the chimney. I then used the first piece of stove pipe that came with this and moved the flue to the bottom. Want no or very little smoke? BEFORE YOU OPEN THE FRONT STOVE DOOR - open the flue all the way - then open the draft louvers in the front - let it draft for a minute then open the door. I've had VERY little smoke get in. But - it is IMPORTANT to make sure the flue is intalled or the fire will burn VERY fast and the stove-pipe will get VERY hot. When everything is closed down the sides and top of the stove can reach 700 degrees easily - but the stove pipe is about 250-350 degrees. I have a digital temperature gage and check regularly. See my review for my setup. |

User questions & answers
Question: | is there a carry bag for the pizza oven |
Answer: | I purchased the Camp Chef CB60UNV Stove Carry Bag for 2 Burner Grill it fits great. I also found a plastic bin at Lowe's for additional protected storage and ease of transport when camping. this method also allows for storage of the cutter, peels and spatula. |
Question: | Does it connect to Natural gas |
Answer: | This doesn't connect to any gas. It lays on top of a Camp Chef stove which uses propane tanks. The Camp Chef stove itself could probably be modified to accept natural gas. |
Question: | Will this fit on the camp chef Yukon |
Answer: | Yes. This item will fit on Camp Chef 2 burner stoves that are 14" deep. This includes the Yukon. Additional models that this fits are: EX60LW, EX60PP, EX60FP, EX60, YK60LW, YK60LWC12, DB60D, EX90LW. |
Question: | Will it work with the camp chef flat top grill |
Answer: | No this isn't designed to work with the Flat Top Grill. Unfortunately the dimensions are different and currently Camp Chef Doesn't make a Pizza Oven Accessory for the Flat Top Grill. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can i use this atop my "camp chef flat top grill |
Answer: | Just saw this answer from a FTG600 customer (as we are), seems Camp Chef needs to replace some of their customer support people.... "Love love love this oven. We use it on the Camp Chef Flat Top Grill(much nicer griddle/grill then Blackstone) by removing the griddle top and setting it right on the grill grates of three burners. Heats up quickly! Basically by the time you have your toppings in the dough the oven is hot. We make a thicker crust with lots of toppings so use a lower temp. Have baked pies and quiche in it as well. Would buy again in a heartbeat." |
Question: | Does anyone have a carrier/storage bag for this pizza oven? If you do, can you please direct me to the one that works? We need to transport/store |
Answer: | I know this is an old question but I wanted to provide updated information for people like me who were looking for a bag. The bag you want for this is the Camp Chef BBQ Box Carry Bag. It's model number BB-90BAG and it specifically states it will fit the PZ90 Pizza Oven. If, for some reason, that bag number doesn't work, it's the one made for the BB90L BBQ box. |
Question: | Confusion. I am reading how many are using this on their grills, etc. Can't it be used on it's own? I read the descrip, making sure info is correct |
Answer: | There is a costlier Camp Chef propane powered oven with an integrated burner, it looks similar but is taller to incorporate the propane burner. This accessory oven DOES NOT have a burner, thus requires use of an external heat source - like your existing grill or outdoor stove top surface. About 16,000 BTU cooking power is required. |
Question: | can this oven work with any out door grills other than camp chef |
Answer: | Yes, it works with my old Weber Genesis gas grill. It is, however, a very tight fit, with only about 1/16" clearance on either side, and about 1-1/2" in front and back. The Weber grill lid must remain open, because the pizza oven is too large for the lid to close over it. I put a piece of aluminum foil over the oven opening during preheat and am able to get the oven to about 650-675 and the stone close to 600 degrees. If you use it with the Camp Chef burners, it sounds like you can get it a little hotter than that. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this stove be turned down reliably low enough to just simmer |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Can the hose connection come in from the left side also or only from the right side like in the picture |
Answer: | For anyone buying this in the future, the hose connection is easily reversible on the two burner stove. Two phillips screws and less than a minute. So yes the hose connection can be moved to the left side quickly and easily. |
Question: | I want to use this inside and run hose to outside what fittings and type of hose do i need |
Answer: | I use this stove inside and put the propane tank under the counter . Typically you would use copper line with a compression fitting but I just used the line that came with it. |
Question: | can i use nature gas |
Answer: | Interesting question. 1. Yes, you can convert LPG Propane appliance to Natural Gas Methane appliance. 2. To convert from one gas to another, the two most common alterations are the sizing of the gas injector and the adjustment of pressure. 3. Here is a good link: https://www.elgas.com.au/blog/474-converting-lpg-and-natural-gas-appliances 4. Propane comes in at a higher pressure than Methane Gas. The pressure nozzle needs to be adjusted. 5. The different ratios of air to gas mean that the size of the hole in the gas jet must change. • In Propane, Oxygen to Propane mix ratio is 25:1 or 25 units of oxygen to 1 unit of propane. • In Methane, Oxygen to Methane mix ratio is 10:1 or 10 units of oxygen to 1 unit of methane. 6. Other parts may also require replacement, like dampers, aeration sleeves and/or air baffles. 7. The gas supply pressure will also change, requiring internal adjustment or possibly a different regulator. |
