Answer:	Two things: This item is not going to be carrying anything of major weight-it's too small to load up with anything that could test the weight limits of pouch- it's for carrying and concealing paper money, passports, credit cards etc...... The other thing is this very design is for concealment- you don't want a great big 2 inch fastex buckle that would be visible under a T-shirt or similar clothing. The reason it looks flimsy is because it is flat- much flatter than an ordinary fastex buckle. I have one and I don't find it to be, or anticipate it to be less than up to the task.

Some of our customers have also stated that they have successfully shortened the belt by cutting it, and then by using a lighter to melt and seal the ends, however, we have not tested this method for ourselves.

Answer:	Hello and from first hand experience I can share with you that it is NOT definitive you can pass through ALL airports without removing your money belt with RFID capability, it may trigger it as some airport equipment are more sensitive than others particularly foreigh or outside the US. For example, I just returned from Europe where I travel frequently, my RFID passport holder triggered airport security as I was going through the scanning machines-it was not a big deal, but it did require security to pull me aside and do an extra check. This is also the case of a money belt with RFID capability-it can trigger the system. Bottom Line-It is likely it will trigger the security and metal detector when going through various systems. I'm sure there's a logical explanation as to why you would want to remove the buckle from this belt, or any belt for that matter, but I simply can not imagine what possible reason you could have for asking this question.
