Answer:	you could replace the ropes with longer ropes of the same gauge. You just can't go thicker otherwise it wont fit through the pulley.

Answer:	The total length of the crank handle is 48 in. Center for the hand holds are at 36 inches and 45 inches. The eyelet center for the gear mechanism is 6 in below the ceiling. So for an 11 foot ceiling the top handle of the crank will be at about 7.5 feet and the lower handle at about 6.75 feet. If your not tall a small step stool would make it work.

Answer:	This rack worked well on a conventional car roof top, the top of each door frame traps the canvas strap to the car body once closed. As far as I remember on a jeep with top off there is no door frame to trap the canvas against the body. Sorry this may not help but the door frame is critical with this kind of rack to make it stable.

Answer:	Hi Janet. I use the Malone HR on my 1999 Avalon...works great. It easily adapts to virtually any other vehicle. I use mine to transport a 18 foot canoe. The only cautionary note is that you should be sure to clean the top of your vehicle so that you avoid slight scratches from possible sand and grit on your car from rubbing under the rack's bladder. I have used it on my vehicle since 2000 and it has worked perfectly. Jerry
Question:	Hello, Will this work on a BMW 335i hard top convertible to carry a surfboard
Answer:	I think that I should test this for you for a few weeks in the Virgin Islands. Would you please ship the car to St. Croix and I will try it out in April and May. More seriously, there would be some lift from the board on the structure - especially at highway speeds . . . I'm not sure whether the structure of the hardtop is set up to handle lift. As far as whether you could fasten the rack and the surfboard to it, it appears that would work . . . you would have some water leakage in heavy rain or rain at highway speeds, I'm sure. . . but that's usually a minor concern if you're just putting it on for a day at the beach.

Answer:	Yes but you will need to added ties to not allow movement any movement when driving. If you are not good at that...then no. The rack pads are for surf boards. The driving will place pressure against the Ski's and move them if not anchored securely.

1.Please clear the roof of your car firstly

2.Open the door of your car, and put the the Soft Rack Pads onto the roof of your car

3.Please note that there are four straps in total, please tighten the two straps on the bottom underneath the car firstly

4.Put your SUP board onto the soft rack pad (Note: Make sure the back side of the board up. Or the fin may scratch your car.)

Step 3

5.Tighten the other two upper straps from the top of your board.

6.Put the extra long straps into your car through the door or tighten it in case the strap will move. And then close the door of your car
